I would say I need an auto decline option for any new bundle, greenlight added game, and free game, but I would actually trade for something that was free if I missed it. I feed the animals. I know, you aren't supposed to feed the animals.

No, I'm not against trading given away games when the giveaway is over. But there are several users (they can be easily spotted) who try to use Barter to scam people with running giveaways/raffles. This one, for example, always takes keys from giveaways (at least two, one for him, one for trade) and he'll send as much trade offers as possible on barter before the game is tagged as "given away" (or in the hope that the user won't notice the tag). I've got games that were given away but I missed them, but I knew it and I knew what a reasonable offer should be.

I had that happen one day with an IGN Prime game. There is never an announcement on those, so I didn't pick up on it being around. I ended up trading a second tier game for the game, was kicking myself, but then someone else traded me the gems I wanted for the original game, for my copy off IGN, so all was good. Could have been an annoying miss.
I guess the only real move is to hard Google every video game that gets offered, that seems out of the ordinary. I try to do that, but still is way too easy to miss.
