What kind of puzzles do people most enjoy
You are looking for two words which, if spoonerised, give opposites.
So Lie and Hoe are Spoonerised opposites, so that when you spoonerise them you get High and Low.
Similarly, the Spoonerised opposite of Lore is Mess, because Lore and Mess spoonerised, becomes More and Less.

Is it correctly understood, then, that the two words in each question have nothing to do with each other?
For instance the example question Lie Mess had the answer Hoe Lore because Lie and Hoe were paired, and Lore and Mess were paired, but the two pairs have nothing to do with each other.

Exactly Right. Each question is two unrelated Spoonerised antonyms.
So the example Lie Mess gives the answer Hoe Lore, because Lie matches Hoe (High and Low) and Mess matches Lore (Less and More), but Lie and Mess have nothing necessarily in common. This was my way to get past the 20 question limit in itstoohard.

Since I could only vote for one here the list of type of puzzles I like :D
Logic Puzzles, Mathematical or Number Puzzles, Real World Puzzles - Based on Physics or the physical world.
Also, I'll may give it a try but I don't think to know English so well that I could solve it ç_ç

I'd actually like an elder futhark puzzle because I know a thing or two about the runes lol but I mostly prefer logic puzzles, despite not being the greatest at them.

And bump for solved - wonderful puzzle! :D
Oh, and to answer the poll properly - I prefer wordplay (obviously), and logic puzzles. Math can be great, but it depends on the math - ordinary math, algebra and geometry are all good, patterns and number-play can be fun but can get too obscure for me and advanced math is beyond my interest. :) Obfuscation and language/encoding can be fun too, if they're not TOO hard. I get bored with quizzes for the most part, as I rarely know the answers, so it's pretty much an exercise in Google-foo. Not sure what "real world" would be like - sounds interesting.
