GL. Won too much real CV myself lately.
I will just abuse the thread to dump some private GAs again. Have done so in other places, so might be old news. Not for all :)

That's just numbers. Take a look at my real CV. It looks quite bad ratio wise. Had some great wins :)

but at least you have won a nice amount of games^^ so be happe of it
Comment has been collapsed.
I am. Just need to find the time to play them.
You will win more too - 'soon' :)
Comment has been collapsed.
I was assuming real CV anyways. Number of GAs is too easy to "cheat".
Comment has been collapsed.
Nevermind, feel free to enter the GAs.
If I don't meet the requirements, I don't meet the requirements. And I don't mind too much.
If I don't like that, I can create loads of GAs right now, ask for a spot in some month or start my own group, where I can join :)

226:258 (GA to won ratio) my dear!
can you increase your CV ratio ? :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Hi! Thanks for checking back. Unfortunately, your CV ratio is not 2:1. You are at 240$ sent vs $258 won.
I am sorry but we won't be able to accept you at this time. ):

you are using the wrong calculations, my dear. Please use this tool: http://www.sgtools.info/real-cv
This calculates your Real CV.
I have researched for you already
Sent vs Won
240$ sent vs $258 won

I thought i did T_T
sorry. did you get it this time?

Oh ouch I never checked my ratio with the real CV tool before. I like the st ratio much better... (the sad thing? After I finish the sg karaoke event my realCV ratio will probability be good enough, but my public/private ratio will be too low too many ratios to ballance for me I guess)
Comment has been collapsed.
hello there! your GA to won ratio is 359$ : 535.
Perhaps you can increase your CV ratio a bit? :)
Comment has been collapsed.
I understood that, and as I was saying the ratio will be better as I am doing a mass of giveaways for the karaoke contest, the problem is they are all group giveaways, and that will put my percent of group giveaways up to something around 75% so one problem goes away and another arises, makes me laugh a bit. That and the fact that non-bundle games ruined my chance of getting into a group called bundle addicts. Good luck with your group

ah I see what you are saying! sigh ): well if you ever find that both problems are nonexistent, please chat with one of us again!

hi! you have a GA to won ratio of 346 to 341$
Perhaps you can increase your CV value first? :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Am I wrong, or does this ratio mean there are expected to be leechers and zero-entry giveaways? Otherwise, the math doesn't work out.
Comment has been collapsed.
Ahhhhh ... I misunderstood. Thanks for clarifying.

555:550 is your GA to won ratio my dear!
but come back when you have a bit more posts and increase your CV ratio :)

Maybe this group should be renamed to spammers inc.
"Thank you for sharing", "Thank you for sharing", "Thank you for sharing", "Thank you for sharing", "Thank you for sharing", "Thank you for sharing", "Thank you for sharing", "Thank you for sharing", "Thank you for sharing", "Thank you for sharing", "Thank you for sharing", "Thank you for sharing", "Thank you for sharing", "Thank you for sharing", "Thank you for sharing", "Thank you for sharing", "Thank you for sharing", "Thank you for sharing", "Thank you for sharing", "Thank you for sharing", "Thank you for sharing"

I passed your comment because it is a little bit passive aggressive but I don't want to be rude and leave it without a reply. Spamming thank you is not the same as being active on forum and talking to other people. Both Rachel and I are lurking on forum daily and it is not hard to spot regulars there.
I already mentioned in a different comment that I believe that spending time on forum or commenting in general may sound like a waste of time but this is what makes us a community.
It is hard to explain what being "active on forum" means so we put a certain number of comments as entry requirement. Obviously some of them will be meaningless "thank you" comments.
Comment has been collapsed.
Going off of what dkny has stated, spamming "thank you" is not what characterizes this group. As a community member, you have a voice, and that voice is much more useful for verbalizing your opinions instead of saying "thank you for sharing." Of course, you are more than welcome to say that repeatedly, but what dkny and I mean by community is that you are engaging in useful conversations and dialogue with others. I make threads on the deals page, for example. People comment on their opinions on the bundle. Sometimes they will add a small "thank you" at the end of their message after expressing their opinion. Sometimes people respond to other's comments, offer suggestions, or make jokes. Sometimes there are flame wars and arguments and misunderstandings and debates. This is still considered being active, does it not?
Additionally, what is wrong with saying thank you? You SHOULD be thanking people for making give aways. Sure, maybe you don't say thank you to everyone, but out of courtesy, it's best if you do. Dkny and I see that as an important part of being a community member. You don't HAVE to thank, but if you do, it shows your appreciation for that person. If you don't believe in saying thank you, well, I won't judge you for that. We all have different ways of expressing ourselves. Keep in mind though, some people actually DO want you to say thank you. It lets them know that you have read their GA description if they do ask for a response. Otherwise, they may black list you in the future.
I am not trying to be rude here, and as dkny said, we initially skipped your comment because we didn't see it as very productive towards our goals nor towards the community, but now I think it's a good idea we respond to your inquiry in case others have the same question.
We are not encouraging users to be spamming people. We encourage them to express themselves and let their voices be heard. Forums are open conversations, and we want people to not feel as if their opinions are being oppressed by some entity that tells them that they must fear having their voices heard. Saying thank you is a powerful thing, and so is participating in conversations and posting your ideas about something.
I'm glad you took the initiative to express your opinion above, as it allows me and the community to question our reasons for commenting.
I hope you have a great day and find some personal empowerment :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Self-empowerment in its simplest form means taking charge of your own life, in your work place, with your colleagues, with your subordinates, with your superiors, with your body, with your illness and for you caring for yourself. Well this sounds obvious but how come most of us don’t do it.
:D hehe.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, if you hadn't half use a word. Now that I know you mean the New Age/Management term self-empowerment.that is often abused, at least I know where you have been. Nothing says more than a link to a "Business Consultant, Life Coach, Healer, Teacher as well as a Business & Personal Coach".
Have a nice day.

Hmm, not sure if I qualify due to the 30% public thing or not. In any case, best if luck to you :D

I'd love to enter! I meet the requirements and am definitely an addict of bundles, deals and gifting! I'm ok on the 2:1 ratio at the moment although it is close, but I'll be doing a large batch of giveaways (around 100+) in the next week or two so that'll be easily covered. Maybe as a train, undecided as yet.

Hey dkny, thanks for your answer :) Will work on my CV, no problem, but to be honest: not in five years I will get to 1000 posts ... is it really a qualification to have 1000 posts in a forum? Doesn't say much about a person, does it? I'm old you know - not gonna make it to 1000 before I go :D

<333 please message me or dkny when the time comes! we'd love to have you join us.

My event is set up, things are in motion, and a bit above 400 CV incoming this month (planning to get to Level 7 at the same time), which should put me safely over the 2:1 ratio. It will take a bit more than a week before all the giveaways have started and ended though, and add some time for everyone to activate their gifts and mark as received. Too bad I'll be missing Idiosyncratics triple MM giveaway, but I hope to make it in time for dkny:s :)

If there are new bundles, yes :) I bet your weekdays are called IndieGala Monday, Humble Bundle main Tuesday, Hump Day Wednesday, Humble Weekly Thursday and IndieGala Friday. Well, that's how I call them, but I'm totally not addicted. At least I can control myself.
Thank you for the invite, I will accept when I get home from work.

oh my weekdays are much more than that! Everyday there's a chance that Groupees, Indiegala, BundleStars, Coinplay, DIG, and any other of the bundle sites will go live with bundles. So i must be on my toes XD

Bundle Addicts Anonymous (BAA)
Rachellove, KTS and I decided to create a small group for people who are as addicted to bundles, deals, gifting games, making friends, and the SG community as much as we are.
What is BAA?
This is not a ratio-based giveaway group, nor do we focus solely on giving away games. Initially, when we formed this group, we aimed to unite kind-hearted, generous SG members to share giveaways with. However, it has since grown into a friendly gathering of users who feel comfortable chatting, playing games, and sharing thoughts and opinions openly with each other.
Over time, we have adjusted our old rules to accommodate the needs of the group and to incorporate the helpful suggestions of our members.
We strive to build a tight-knit community of people who give much more than they take or receive, enjoy talking to other members, and love the SteamGifts community in general. Most importantly, we expect all members to be active within our group.
Why BAA?
This is, in essence, a smaller community within the greater SG community comprised of individuals with a variety of unique personalities and backgrounds – so all introverts and extroverts are welcome!
We take all of our members very seriously and expect them to follow all rules, including maintaining a real CV ratio and respecting all members of the group.
However, we are also a fun-loving group of people who realize that SG and friendships are more than giving away games – it’s about finding people to connect with, play games with, talk to, and forge lasting relationships with.
When joining, please consider YOUR reasons for joining this group, as we do not accept those who want to use this group as a +1 or to simply give and win games. We take a holistic approach to selecting members, taking into consideration people’s contributions to SG, their personalities and unique attributes, and whether or not they mesh well with our values.
How and When can you join BAA?
Please ensure that you meet all entry requirements listed in the section below and post all necessary information, along with an explanation as to why you would like to join. We will review your application when we begin to accept new members and spots become available.
Member limit: around 100
Entry requirements:
Level 5+
$1 won : $2 sent in Real CV value, not the quantity on your SG profile.
1000+ comments and continuously active on forum.
At least 30% of your GAs have to be public or “invite only” forum GAs (not just giveaways for private groups or all region-restricted GAs).
No multiple wins or unactivated games.
Once you join:
If you want to join us, please let us know in comments below by posting # of comments, your Real CV ratio, any relevant information as stated in the Entry Requirements section above, and why you would like to join BAA. We’ll send you an invite once spots are open again if you are accepted!
