It's a rar file. Rar files are harmless. What is inside them can be harmful. But inside mine is a txt file. Txt files are harmless.

If you're using a brute force cracking software, you should be done in a few seconds or even sooner with dictionary attack. It is way more difficult by guessing.
Also, make sure to check the third hint.

Well I don't know in your PC, but mine is pretty slow and brute force has been running for 2 hours already and only got to AQJLB :/
It will be months before it reaches ZZZZZ.
EDIT: 2.32 passwords per second.
Around 11,881,376 possibilities.
That is 60 days. Hope the giveaways ends in 9 weeks :/

According with the time I downloaded the RARARARAR archive, and the time I joined the giveaway... Exactly 30 minutes. But add some minutes trying the key for being lazy, oh and the time I spent reading the post, so around 35 minutes.

5 may also be 23 for some decoders. Also, the decoded string should start with "1e".

I got the decoded string, it actually starts with "1e"... However, when I paste it into the place where people usually paste stuff, I get not found error.. And it is logical since they use 8 letters format in their shortened strings...

At 2.34 passwords per second it will take my computer 60 days to get the password for the RAR. Any hint to narrow the search?

Tried another software and got 300 p/s. Then enabled GPU and got to 1000 p/s. Got it in like 30 minutes.
Then rushed through the rest of the puzzle in like 2 minutes, but I'm still stuck on the final step :/
