I mentioned it in the past, but I think it's worth dedicating a separate thread for this fantastic tool. You can find it here:

http://www.lorenzostanco.com/lab/steam/

It basically allows you to filter and sort your Steam library in a very powerful way, showing only games that match a certain set of tag (e.g. Atmoshpheric + Post-apocalyptic + Story Rich), or that support a certain feature (e.g. Full Controller Support + Local Co-op), and then sort them by either Name, Playtime, Metascore or Steam User reviews. It's also now possible to bookmark the page already populated with your Steam user to make it easier to access the results. An amazing tool that everyone with decently sized Steam library should know about.

Some recently added improvements:

  • Store search - cool new tool to search the Steam catalog, based on tags and features, sortable in the same ways as the user's library.
  • The friends search now shows friends in a drop down list (after entering your own username in the first field). The tool is useful for finding games several friends own.
  • Some other recent enhancements are listed here.

checked horror filter, a bunch of horror games appeared and then math rescue and lumino city, a bug?

If it's based on user tags, that's probably the result of some hilarious people submitting inaccurate tags, like Barbie Dreamhouse Party being one of the top "ninja" games.

I'm not being able to load my library, whatever I put in the username field (name, url, id) doesn't work, and my profile is already public...

Ended up working. Is a nice thing to look for stuff to clear up your backlog. I entered "Short" as a tag along with other filters of games I was interested in, and then picked "Freedom Fall" as my next game to complete. Would've been nice if there was some way to incorporate personal tags (I have tagged games I've already completed). I can sort by playtime and then search from the bottom, but then that stops me from being able to sort by user ratings or metacritic. Also, ranges for those two things would've been useful too!

You may want to suggest it to the creator of this tool. The updates I mentioned are based on user requests.

The steam thread mentioned on the site is locked, and the creator recommends emailing. Guess I'll do that when I have time. Thanks!

the only thing I would like a request is a random picker after applying the filter. I've used this plenty of times whenever I'm on my 4 hours gap in schedule in univ.

What kind of integration would you expect to see? Launching games from this page?

Like mod or somthing to steam client. Base system of tag not work well in my case. But again cool site I definitely will use it from time to time.

Uh nice!
Looks like you can also filter by 'not having x tag' by clicking on a certain tag twice :)

It's not like I have a huge game collection, but this is still great for choosing what to play!
Specially since it looks like I can only play about 56% of my games XD

New update includes the following enhancements:

  • VR support filters - If there are VR games in your library, you now have the option to filter them by supported headsets, input type and play area. If you don't have a VR headset yet, maybe it can help you choose if and which
    one to buy :)
  • Sort by recent user score - Steam recently started distinguish between overall user score and last 30-days user score. You can now sort games in your library by one or the other.

Some cool new features that were recently added:

  • Option to sort by Steam release date
  • Combine filters using OR or AND logic
  • Grid view in addition to Detailed list view
  • A button to pick a random game from the ones currently matched

This site is indispensable if you have a large library and having a hard time deciding what to play next.

this is an AWESOME tool i've been using for some time now, and i don't get why steam does not offer these features. should be easy to implement :)

There's a very long list of features that people have been asking Steam to implement for many years and they don't bother. There was a thread about it a month or two ago, but I can't find it. Quite amazing they do so little when Engineering resources are obviously not an issue (it shouldn't be if their revenue is about $400 million USD a month).

Love that site - maybe loads similarly slowly as browser-steam's library, but never crashed, and the ability to use the categories is just incredible. Funny that Steam even after the UI/ store update is not as useful as this site, or enhanced steam ...

Lorenzo Stanco added two new filters to the site - for wishlist and for games shared with friends. The former is especially useful to decide which games to purchase in sales.
