wut? u high m8?
if you're giving away a key, then the key is yours to begin with, so I really don't get your question... ?

I've seen threads about this before. I think maybe you can't see which key you entered into the system if no one wins the giveaway? Which could be a problem in certain cases if you have multiple/many for the same game. Would seem to be a short-sighted design mistake if it is the case (like some other things around here).

so unless it's a giveaway of multiple copies but with less winners than there are copies, or a person is a disorganized, then there's no problem...

Even if you are organized..... imagine you have a spreadsheet with 50 keys for a particular game, and half of those keys have been previously used (and marked as such). Then you make another giveaway for the same game and mark some more of the keys as used after you enter them into the system. But then this issue arises, there are no winners, and yet you can't see which particular keys you had entered (that are actually not used in this case since no one would ever think this to be an issue). There is a problem there! There may be other ways that this can go wrong too.....

I see.
I mark them with colour as "pending" and then "used" or simply "unused". I never delete the key itself unless I've used it myself, and I not where exactly that key came from. I only have some dozens of keys though, I hope it remains easy to manage when it gets to several hundreds and thousands.

I entered the key for the giveaway and deleted it from my records. but nobody entered the giveaway and now I cannot see the key so I can re-add it back to my records, however it's still in the SG site just not viewable for me

If this is true, it would be a help to retrieve the data.
Good luck solving this, and IF you do get it resloved, please appraise of us it, as I'm sure others would be interested in retreiving their 'stored cd-keys' as well.

Open a support ticket, but for something like that it can take much time (if there's no already existing design to let support members see the key, it has to be handled by cg directly)

I think cg has to do it because mods have limited privileges.

You can't see it and you'll have to enter a ticket to get it back. Been there done that mate.

Wont help you this time, but for future GA's where you're worried about the number of entries always use the "GIFT" option. You can then enter the key after the GA completes with entries. That way your key is never exposed until it's actually being gifted.

i don't get it. i can see all of my keys. the ones i sent
maybe it only happens when no one enters? cause i can see the winner and check the key or change it...

btw, you can just enter an imaginary key all the time, just remember to change it before sending it ;)
