Hi again guyz!

Some of you may have seen my previous post some days ago (details here).... long story short, my dog died after 11 years by my side... ;_;

I gotta confess that, at first, I thought that nobody would pay attention to my post... however, the awesome SG community surprised me once again and gave me lots of support by telling their own stories or by just bumping the thread... So, there is this idea that has been revolving around my head... I wanted to create a thread for sharing memories of our already gone pets... Thus, here it is ... I am sorry for not giving a fancy description (it actually seemed better in my head) but this is all that comes to my mind right now...

The idea of this thread is to share some of the joy our pets brought to us when they were at our side... I'll try and post different ga's that will be running until December 24th, midnight (GMT-5). Feel free to share your own experiences/details about your pets.

So, about Junior... he was an 11 years old Boxer (of the tiger like type). He always was a loyal dog and used to go with my grandmother to the supermarket. He just waited at the entrance patiently until she had finished buying stuff. A couple years ago two newborn cats fell from the roof into a bed at my grandmother's place. We all cared for the kittens but Junior actually kept them warm and practically raised them. One of the cats went up to the roof a couple times until one day she never came back :( We still have her brother and they used to live peacefully. I remember always arriving at my grandmother place and Junior standing up (even if he was sick and barely able to move) and coming to greet me so I could pet him. Summarizing, he was a great dog and will be deeply missed (pic below)...

GA's: (I'll try to improve this from time to time)
Tower of Elements
Star Chronicles
Flesh Eaters
Train from my previous post this one ends earlier since I created it before I came up with this idea... sorry :( (ENDED)

P.S. I am running short on time these days so I will not be able to update the main thread with any links you may provide. Thus, in case you wish to share a ga please do so in the reserved reply :)
P.S.2.: remember to clean your Karma

GA's contributed by some of SG's great users:

PeteOzzy: Kung Fu [ENDED]
Khazadson: Crash Drive 2 [ENDED]

.... thx guys :)

Bump. I can't relate because I've never had a pet before, but I can imagine how tough it is to have to deal with it.

Forever one of my favourite photos of our dog who also passed away this year.
I mean it's not a good picture but I just love the way she looks at me / the camera.

Just lost my cat to kidney failure about 2 months ago... My wife and I got her right after we got back from honeymoon 18 years ago. She was a kitten from animal shelter, the absolute sweetest kitty you could ever know.

We named her Ciani after this modern musical artist....

Listen Here

Please give this music a listen in memorium of our precious pets!

One of my cat was Kiddo, he came into my life a few years ago when things were really bad and going into a downward spiral, I ordered some food at night and he came through the elevator with the guy who was bringing my food and ran into my apartment, after paying for the food i found it in my bed. He was really friendly so I suspected he was someone else cat, later i found out he was epileptic so putting 1+1 together i suspect his previous owners abandonned him after finding out he was sick. Fastforward a few months later, I really couldn't afford decent food for myself but always bought him what he needed unfortunately his condition was getting worse, he stopped eating, drinking... I brought him to veterian everyday to feed him via IV as a last chance. Unfortunately he passed away in middle of his treatment. It was a huge blow in my already fucked up life back then :(

The other one is Rongé, we called him like that coz one of his ear seemed like it was bitten off. A big old cat that kept coming to my mother's garden asking for food. She finally took him in, he never done one bad thing and nice even though the 2 other cats were always bullying him. He really seldom time fought them back but he was always in the garden chasing away the other cats :P He died of a heart attack at 15y/o protecting his territory.

I'd put the pictures but even though people explained me a couple of times how to do it on SG i keep forgetting and can't find how to do it on the FAQ -_-'

My family's ferret Rocky, and my ferret curry, who died in my arms.

There's a lot I want to say, but I'll do that sometime later because of reason I'm kinda conflicted on saying.

I had a orange kitten I named Dobby that died a few years ago. He had been getting weaker as the weeks went by and we took him to the vet to see what the problem was multiple times and the vet said he just needed to rest. Me and my wife woke up one morning and was getting ready for work and Dobby crawled up into her arms, let out a huge cry and then breathed his last. It was traumatic.

Dobby was an awesome kitty too! :3 My favorite memory of him was when we were thawing Chicken to eat, before I was a PC gamer I had a PS3, I was playing something and Dobby jumped up, grabbed the chicken off the counter, literally dragged it upstairs and was intent on eating it. I had to chase him all around the house to get my chicken back! >:D

I feel your pain friend. Have a bump!

Edit: Here is Dobby! :D

Edit 2: Wife told me that he stole pizza from her once too. lOl

My cat Grace died a little over a year ago from cancer. I've had other pets before, but she was different. She picked me out to be her human. She was with me for 19 years.

There's a story behind that picture. The hall bathroom's tub developed a drip. She discovered it and would sit in the bath tub fascinated by the drips of water. That drip got worse and became almost a constant stream. I guess she discovered the fresh water coming out tasted better than what was in the bowl, so she would go drink freely from the faucet. I finally got around to fixing it, and she was pretty upset when her fresh water was cut off.

Not long after that, the sink in the same bathroom began to drip, and she began to jump on the counter and lick the drips. Once I fixed the sink, she would not drink out of the water bowl and wanted fresh water from the sink, but she was smart enough to realize that all the faucets in the house could produce fresh water. If I was in the kitchen, she'd jump up in the kitchen sink and wait for me to turn on the water. If I was in the bathroom she would come in there to get water. If she wanted water and no one was near one of the sinks, she didn't fuss, she would just sit on the sink and wait for someone to notice her. She liked to sit on the bathroom sinks and look at herself in the mirror while she waited. I'm pretty sure she knew what she saw in the mirror was a reflection. This is the only picture I managed to get of her looking at herself because she would usually see my reflection in the mirror and turn around and get ready for me to turn the sink on.

My dog is still alive but he's blind, doesn't hear much either and I know he'll pass away soon :< He's name is Aro, he's a poodle and he's almost 16 years old. He's wearing diapers now and bumping around walls and furniture, because he can't see. Maybe I should take him to vet to put him down, but honestly I don't know if I can do this.

I got him when I was 8. I was bald, very skinny and weak then, because I was on chemiotherapy after brain tumour. I couldn't go out much but I always had him to cheer me up. He was (well still is) big part of my life for 15 years. He was even hanging with me, my cousins and our group of friends on vacations when we were sitting in my grandparents basement (we were playing, watching movies there, orjust sitting and talking).

I know I should prepare myself that he can pass out very soon now but I have no idea how.

I have all of photos on other disc. Right now I have only this

I'm sorry you're going through that with your beloved pet, my own dog went through a similar phase for the last year of her life. She was deaf and just confused by it since she knew she barked and saw people talking to her but couldn't hear anymore. She had hip problems, couldn't walk, and had other health issues that compounded it all.It was heart-wrenching and in the end the decision was terribly hard but also terribly necessary.

wow... you have managed to spend a lot of time with your dog and you have certainly shared several memories... that's something to feel good and thankful about... I have had several dogs, but the first one accompanied me as I grew up and became an adult... it was really hard to see him go, but it was also necessary as he was in a lot of pain and meds were not working :(

Sorry to hear that. My 12 year old dachshund went into heart failure on Saturday. In a total panic I rushed him to the vet who confirmed that he was indeed very ill.

They put him on a drip and gave him some injections to drain the water off his heart and sadly he is now on daily pills.

He is back home safely and breathing better again but I am realizing now that our precious time together is getting limited now.

I can't imagine the pain I am going to feel the day he decided to leave me.
