Steam game with most achievements

Out of curiosity what steam game currently holds the title for most achievements available? The one that I've seen with the most is Tales of Maj'Eyal with a whopping 1297. Anyone know of one that has more or know of a link to stats page that would show this type of data?

WoW was about the same actually, you had to buy the game and $15 a month. And then don't forget the expansions that also had to be bought over the years as well.

They did, but they weren't $60 unless you bought the collectors. To add insult to injury, ESO is also going to have microtransactions to milk you dry.

Well, I also remember that WoW came out originally around 10 years ago? Back then the PS2 was the big console and console new releases were $50. Steam also was still mostly unheard of and playing games online was also still pretty new.

Honestly, I despise MMOs in principle. The idea of having to pay for a game, and then keep on paying to keep on playing it is just sickening to me and from what I've seen of them they don't even look like something I'd enjoy much. Definitely have no plans to buy any MMO games ever.

Tales of Maj'eyal does have the most achievements for any Steam game. So many infact it exceeded the number Steam could recognise and hence none worked.
I hear they cut a few, but not sure if they work yet.

Shamefully, a few of those are unachievable (last I knew anyway). Part of why I stopped playing -- along with a handful of quests that were made impossible due to updates.

Does anyone else feel the need to try and get all the achievement after they solve a game? I do like to try I hope this game never ends up in my library or if it is I will push it way to the back of the to be play list.

Yep, that's why I have over 600 hours in Ys Origin and almost 500 in Ys: The Oath in Felghana. I want to get all the achievements, but I suck at those games. Love them a lot, I just suck.

Yeah, they are definitely difficult to complete. I have 44/46 in Origin and 27/33 in Oath.

And I also own Tales of Maj'Eyal, but not even going to start it until they fix achievement issues. Not going to waste time on a game that has buggy achievements.

I knew this much coz i played the game(like 2 days ago) and did some research
Funny thing is i got a char to lvl10 in a playrun (playing Roguelike 1life, as you should ;) and only got 1 achievement(not that i care) but they arent "stupid" ones like YOU STARTED PLAYING, your first fart ingame...

If you want to know i died to poison in cavehole inside a dungeon, there was lik 6-8: assassins, rogues, trappers, and a rare boss unit

So.. is Valve ever going to fix/bring back achievements to the store pages? Pretty annoying how you have to go the a community hub and then achievement page now.
