What is the best Assassin's Creed game?

voted :) 2 and brotherhood IMO

One vote for AC3! I thought I will be the only one to choose it, but somehow it is 2nd in the poll :)

Voted AC2

All until AC3 were good. First game was still a bit raw but was nice. AC2 was good. Brotherhood and Revelations were really good (had lots of fixes for gameplay things IMO). AC3 was really bad. I think it was the worst game in all series. Just didn't have the feeling of Assassins Creed.

Overrated series. 3 was the worst, 2 was probably best overall. First one had one of the best atmosphere at that time.

I own all except 3 and I can wholeheartedly say that Brotherhood is the best

I also think 2 is the best so far...

IMO 2 was the best for it's time, brotherhood was only a small improvement after a years time (so I voted for 2).

i'm going with 2... 3 is probably at the bottom of my list

2 and brotherhood, I didnt play the first one and I cant finish Revelations (I get bored easily...)

3 is the absolute worst in the series so far. buggy, broken, poorly written, terrible characters and character development. its just a bad game that if it were riding on anything but the success of the previous titles would have been reduced to clearance bins not long after release.

never played, but my friends were all about brotherhood for a while.

For me is the best first one. I like everything about it. Atmosphere is amazing. I love middle ages and crusade war.

I liked the novelty of the first one. You couldn't just press x or square while you were in the general area above their head, you had to actually maneuver yourself and drop down on an enemy/hit and it was great because when you missed, it was your fault. Their wasn't a flashy HUD that took away from the surrealism of the world. Plus, my favorite melee weapon was the throwing knife dagger where you could throw your knives mid combat and then counter and enemy.

It was a game about an assassin, not an Italian looking for vengeance but a cold-hearted killer turned leader of the Assassin's Guild (this game is old enough for me not to worry about spoiling it, I mean come on if you haven't played by now, you're never going to). The ending boss fight was the icing on the cake. Desmond's story was not important and held a great heir of mystery before it turned into the pile of a plot line it is today and most importantly:
NO PLOT-DRIVEN TOWER DEFENSE MINI-GAMES.

If any Assassin's Creed game should be considered good, it would be this one.
Though I was disappointed they didn't introduce the crossbow in the first game since it was in the original trailer.
Last note, first trailer is best trailer.

Played all of them so far, am a huge fan of the series and this is my list:

• AC Revelations
• AC III which is a really bad one (storywise) in my opinion
