You have no idea how many times this has been declined. :)

I don't think implementing such system is hard for cg.

He means he agrees with your 'I don't think' part, not the rest of the sentence.

Not to mention what it would do the database/website whenever a Skyrim giveaway goes up.
And then there's the fact that it would wreak havoc on some of the SG events like private giveaways, flash giveaways, hidden giveaways,...

You mean SG not cg hehe
...and yes the site needs support from ads and activity from real people, not from automated scripts...

Yeah you meant THE cg after all...
I just scanned your first sentence before the comma, never mind.

I've used this answer several times regarding bot entries, but I'll say it again anyways: Fuck no.
If you want to spend less time on steamgifts but still leech off generous users, you shouldn't be given the opportunity to enter giveaways. What about all the people who actually bother to spend time on the site? The people who actually spend time in the forum and contribute in more ways than one? I have no respect for scripts that allow automatic entries or automatic comment posting. A lazy leech is the worst kind.

Here for 7 months, commented 6 times, entered 1,143 giveaways. Nice to know you spend so much time with the people that make this site great while entering those giveaways.

His point was sarcasm: OP obviously does not spend much time with the people that make this site great while entering numerous giveaways. Still too subtle? It's a critique of the OP's desire to get free shit without actually interacting with the community that, for many users, is the even greater appeal of SG.
That and it's just a really bad idea.

If by most people you mean most leechers then yes, those are rude trolls. If you actually read the forums every once in a while or join the chat, you would see that SG has built a great community. Perhaps it's even better that people like you don't interact with it.

You almost replied yourself. If someone doesn't want to be a part of a community, nobody forces him, he can just leave.
This site is so much about giving that you can still win games even without contributing in any way. If you dont feel like commenting in giveaways or on the forum, you can do that and still have a shot at winning.
Winning a game here is time-consuming in a way, but that's just an extra. Not everybody is nice, but it's a decent community. And you can personally make it even better, if you wish so.
But if someone just wants a game, he should go and buy it, it's WAY faster and easier.
TL;DR: Go Fortix yourself! :D

His point is that steamgifts.com is not a free game dispenser site run by some bots.

When I was linked to this it appeared as "http://www.steamgifts.com/forum/45Oxa/Im-greedy-but-lazy"
I see why.

Agreed. Just friggin' lazy. It's not enough for some people that there are FREE games here ... sad.

the site is built in a way to avoid this behavior, many on the site think you should but time in to it . but that dose not sound like a hard bot to make if you know some basic comp you could make it you self. ( might get you banned thought)

dont works, cause he would enter giveaways that i dont want to enter atm ( and my wishlist is big), and then i will have no points and cant enter the giveaways i want... ^^

i'm pretty sure there are programs out there which you can download so you can just do that instead

This is not such a great idea if you think about it, people would just set and forget, even more likely not to mark their wins as received etc. or get a game elsewhere (GOG or other non-steam) and then win another copy they no longer want because they haven't updated their wishlist.

no way
pathetic idea for own good.
no social networking will be there and very less traffic on SG

This is a terrible idea, every giveaway would have 10k+ entries.

So you could just like... never come here, ever, and put zero effort into anything, and eventually come away with a free game at some point for doing absolutely nothing...
Yup. Sounds like something the typical lazy modern gamer would suggest. Nobody has any work ethic any more. It's all just gimme gimme gimme. This is why modern video games suck. It's all about instant gratification with no effort involved.

Autoleeching? No thanks.
You should feel guilty for even suggesting this.

Well I was thinking...
Imagine if there was a Auto-Entry option for steamgifts?
What I thought is by connecting to your accounts wishlist it sees what games that are in there and when somebody posts up a giveaway if you have enough points it will auto enter you in! But only if they are on your wishlist...
I don't exactly know if this is making much sense but really it's just auto-entry for items on your steam wishlist.
Edit:
So I thought the whole point was to discuss, not be a bunch of wankers about it. This is exactly why I kept away from the forums, because people really feel the need to stomp down on people. The main reason I signed up to this site is the fact that the income I currently get goes towards me trying to get somewhere (since I live with a low income family) and thought this site would be great to try and get some games to pass the time with. Now the main reason you don't see me in the forum is because most of you are merely here to either start a flame war or make yourself feel like you've done 'JUSTICE'.
And what I've seen a lot of you guys are hypocritical and have have a higher number between entering the giveaways then creating giveaways yourself. Most of you's only do it because the game is on special, if it wasn't you wouldn't even bother.
Now if you don't have anything productive to say, fuck off.
-If leeching is a problem? Well you could easily do something that they have to contribute a specific amount before hands to be able to have such an option to do so.
-Now for the whole 'they can add every game on steam to there wishlist durka durka' you know, you could restrict it to only the top ten on your wishlist or even top 5. You could even limit it to the point that it can only enter per say 1-5 max per day. ---You could also make it that if they haven't spent much time on the site per week it gets de-activated.
-You could even make it that the person needs to have a ratio between the amount of giveaways and the amount of joined before being able to use this.
That's all I'm going to contribute with this, go on guys. Say something productive and think between the lines on how it can be done to be useful.
