I never heard of this game until this thread, just watched the trailer and thought it looked promising. I'm not a big fan of third person multiplayer shooters, so I'm a bit reserved on this game. Going to wait until it's released and may potentially pick it up when it goes on sale.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, too. I play Call of Duty sometimes and this game looks generic to me. It seems like the only thing different about it is "Oh boy! We have a cover system!" which I'm sure will be completely ignored it what looks like a run and gun shooter.

What bullcrap. All "indie" means is that it's from a smaller, usually independant studio. So, these smaller companies by definition don't deserve more than 10$ for a game that might deserve 20$ for what enjoyment you gain from it? Ridiculous.

so you value a games worth by the companies size? I guess you are willing to pay $70 + tax for the next modern wafare game then? Just look at Torchlight 2, Runic Games are an ACTUAL indie developer that made a game shits all over a 60$ diablo 3.

they are indie(independent) they are not owned by any overhead company or publisher and publish their own games, their net worth doesn't mean anything.

Electronic Arts is not owned by any overhead company so it's indie.
Anyway, the meaning and differance between AAA and Indie are just really vague these days. And does it even matter if it's a so called AAA game or an Indie game? A game should work, if a game is just really really bad. You can't say 'It's just costed 10$ and it's indie so who cares', a game should work no matter it's from EA or your neighbors's garage.

The only ones that I know of that I would pay for them ~10€ are Spiderweb Software games. The rest "indie" (i hate this term, it's overused) to me are worth 5€ tops.

I'm not a fan of the indie term either. But I think you'd be surprised! Your 5€ limit is too low! Several indie games have been made according to the developers passion rather than "what will sell" or "what will appeal to the largest audience". Some offer a lot more than our initial impressions.

Just played it for a half an hour - seems fun, and it's not expensive, size is less than 800mb so no reason not to get it.
First impression - licensed weapons (some, not all), character customization (slots/appearance), semi-random maps (every map is made of three parts, and you can vote what will be placed in every slot so final map can be very interesting), level progression and unlocking of new things - even attack/guard dogs, and most important - working cover mechanics. Game is fun, as I could see.

Soooo usually people go like ooh look a new indie game etc when something like this comes out and then they suck ass when they do but this game has got absolutely 0 hype and It's getting released today. And it's really low on the best selling list and it's only like a 12 euro game :P
I personally pre-ordered and i don't think it's going to be the best game ever but I think i'll enjoy it :)
