Hey, do you want to be in a tournament?

So I'm going host and sponsor a series of tournaments soon and I would like you to be a part of it!

Requirements: CV > $30 ($30 is equal to $30, not bigger than $30).

Time: TBA. The first tournaments of CSGO and Worms were a success!

Game: TBA

Reward: At this point, it will be 1 TF2 key for every tournament. Yes, I know it's not a lot but I'm thinking about hosting this series throughout the summer. If you are interested in sponsoring the tournament and making it more appealing, please contact me.

Update: Now there also will be bundle games as rewards for everyone who partakes in the tournament in form of steamgifts giveaways.

Please leave comments below if you are interested in joining the tournament. I will pick contestants myself (~20 for the first tournament, possibly more for the next one) and invite them to a group. If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to comment!

Note: this possibly will be a biweekly thing unless there's someone else who wants to co-sponsor this with me. Sorry at this point I cannot think of any benefits for co-sponsors.

a tournament might have 8-16 people so 1v1 would take too much time. Usually it will be a team-based match for the first /second round and a free for all match for the finalists.

Unreal Tournament is clearly the only appropriate way to start a tournament series. Not much of a competitive type though, so I'll pass. G'luck!

the time is rather flexible actually, after I have enough contestants I will make another pole to find the time that suits the majority of players.

that 7PM PST is just my preference but I can make do.

How about TF2? We could do MGE mod for 1 v 1 matches or teams if more. Or CS 1.6, Battleblock Theater, SWBF2. Just suggesting some sort of popular games(that I have :S)

I cannot edit it..so let's just say that the CSGO option also includes CS 1.6. SWBF2 and battleblock theater? well I have not tried the multiplayer for those games extensively. Definitely in the near future.

SWBF2 multiplayer tournament would be pretty fun but I think bbt only has 1 v 1 modes.

Worms and 1v1 sounds good. It's much easier than gathering ~8 users at the same time to play a match. Also it doesn't matter if you have lag, since it is a turn-based game (I've played some Worms reloaded tournaments and haven't had any issues so far).

skull girls is pretty popular too I believe and a bit cheaper on steam than it's competition afaik (ironically the only own I own is SF4 AE)

it seems more accessible, I see more people in my friend's list playing that then any of the other fighting games on steam to be honest, at any rate I wouldn't call it a huge mistake :P
