CD-action is a polish game magazine. http://www.cdaction.pl/

It's true for new keys, but there are those that are on the website that becomes available to register on Steam from time to time. That's what happened recently with Tales of Valor. Fortunately, they're out of keys now.

Well I agree with regard to keys they give as a backfilling presumably for people who bought given magazine when it did not yet include a steam key for given game (the same way you sometimes get steam keys for some stuff you bought way back on Desura or some bundle). Because they tend not to check if whoever asks for the key actually has bought a relevant copy of the magazine so random f*rs pick them up sometimes in large quantities.
But if down the road you intend to include actual DVD printed keys then that's just silly.
The announcement isn't very clear with that regard though. I'm guessing you only mean keys occasionally given out on their website without any verification so they are abused. But again, it's not clear.

if they mean the abused ones they're exploited and the relevant rules seem like they should apply? the only reason I can think of why make them allowed except it takes too much time to stop they way they were?(edit-actually 9hrs ago...that looks like it since the announcement came when the flood started lol so nevermind I do understand, too bad they couldn't handle it if thats what they mean(good luck support, sorry for report spam you're getting. it'll clear up soon hopefully))

As far as I know, we've never had problems except with the ones that were available online. Otherwise, no one even notices because there's not a horde of jackasses trying to exploit it for value. The only exception might be with the occasional region-locked ones, which can cause a hitch now and then.

I am not wrong. You just don't understand what we say. Yes, there is an automatic sender but the keys that are available to get there are for games that were bundled with the magazine in the past. They don't add any new games (new keys) to that site.

I never implied that there are any keys to games that are new/newly added to the magazine. How did you get that impression? Nevertheless these keys/games are ment to be sold with the magazine, not just stolen by some exploiters with multiple accounts.

Even those that are imprinted on the DVD if you buy the magazine? That is not fair. At all.
You need to differentiate between those on cdaction.pl website which everyone can get and those that you get from buying a magazine for its full price. It'll be fair only then.

unfortunately they don't do that for any other game on the bundle list(no matter how long ago or how distinctive the keys may or may not be(the component games from hib1's fused key for instance)), it sounds like its not possible(no manpower to send your receipts to ect)

I think you misunderstood. Every time a new issue comes out with a Steam game the cd-key is imprinted on the DVD. Keys on the site are sometimes added for previous full versions they put on DVD's which weren't Steamworks. So it's like a bonus for people who had bought a certain issue. And it doesn't happen often. Games like Painkiller: Hell & Damnation or Front Mission Evolved are legit because they imprinted the key on DVD's. So you have to buy the magazine to get the cd-key. I don't see any reason why those games would be added to the bundle list.

your thievery is over :) go to hell people and have a nice day :)
btw - i hope new magazine games will be allowed, for many months every single Steam game is added to dvd-disc and there are special unique key for every customer from Poland = no way to exploit keys from magazine homepage.

Any idea why this giveaway was deleted?

How is this particular one more exploited than the other hundreds like it? Just wondering... it doesn't make sense to me.

But there are plenty of people giving away more than one, just not in a single giveaway. I had a look though the giveaways I entered and I found 3 just on the first page.
I've said this in another thread that got deleted for some reason, but if you don't want people to give more than one, why not get rid of the incentive, the "first $25 bundled counts as nonbundled" policy? That way, knowing they won't get a cent unless they give away something else, they won't be so keen of exploiting keys.

As of this posting, such games are and presumably will be added to the bundle list, and only region-restricted copies will be disallowed. Thank you.
