nice here too and I'm just a hairs width from far enough north to get the canadian milk locus block off supermarkets with their campers. One time I went to a store next town over and you know that steriotype about canadians always being so polite? bullshit. they will trample you

I'm so glad I was able to bribe CG with my nude pics to make them go on the bundle list.

Are you sure it's bribery if he does it because he really just wants you to stop?

Thanks for fix the C.V. obtained from Crazy Machines putting as bundle games, i'm having problems in my search of a group because i did some giveaways of crazy machines, but was not for farm C.V. just was the moment and i was mad because i saw ppl with 2k of C.V. just giving away crazy machines.
so thanks for do it

I think this decision is ok to put CM on bundle list, but you have to do it with all games then and put up a straight rule which games will be bundled and which not.
If Gamefly puts up a deal again for 4$ to get Spec Ops + Darkness 2 or any other similar deals. Now you have to put all those deals on the bundle list otherwise it is not fair at all. also all games which can be obtained with -90% Coupons. and if you go that logic to the end in some time all steam games are on bundle list because there is always a deal at sometime for a game.

this site needs more notifications.
things like "why am I getting only $30 CV" could be easily avoided just by putting a few banners and tooltips on the create giveaway page. A separate page dedicated to explaining the contribution value that's linked from the main page and profile, too.
encourage logged in users to check out the forums would also retain more new members and contribution. it's little things like this that boost other sites' member activity counts and lower this one's.

Just a link under the contribution value saying "Why is my CV lower than the giveaways I made?" (for people being capped) taking them to the topic explaining how the vale is set would help a lot.

I'm sure your grand understanding of cv's economics are sound but we'll have to pass up your proposal. If you can come up with one that makes sense on a more site wide beneficial sense than one that is just to poke a subtle "what if?" then maybe we'll discuss it.
There's a difference between a sale and a bundle just as how there's a difference between giving away a game you paid $1 and gaining $10 in cv and another giveaway where you paid $5 and you $5 cv.

4x Crazy Machine = $4 cost and you earned 40$ CV
Darkness 2 + Spec ops was also 4$ and you also got 40$ CV from it.
This is exactly the same situation as Crazy Machine and it isnt in bundle list.
EDIT: this statement was not totally correct since You got 2 CM for 1$

true my mistake but its almost the same with it you can use it to abuse.

almost the same? You get twice as much. It's 95% discount vs. 90%. 90% is basically the accepted border and Shobo said that. It may just sound as "only 5% difference",but above 90% it accumulates. CM gives you the double amount than gamefly deal. Higher deals that are not unsual for bundles are even worse. A 96% discount for example, although only 1% difference, will gain you 25% more for the same amount of investment.

Key word once again: exploitable
What constitutes being exploitable and not? This seems to be entirely opinion based.

You only can buy a copy with each credit card or paypal account, you can create another paypal account but not with the same credit card, so i dont find that deal too bad, but with CM you can buy 12356287 copies with the same card, that´s the diference.

I was just about to abuse the crap out of Crazy Machines to boost my CV too! Luckily it was changed before I made my giveaways rather than after like it was with the Humble Bundle Weekly games!
I still feel bad for all those people who spent money creating giveaways while those who didn't want to spend money kept whining until it was "fixed".

I find it strange that those who people who dedicated at least $100 in cm games for giveaways to farm cv had the balls complain about it in support and in the forum for a sort of exploit. It seems like it was too long ago that cv was JUST a statistic.
Would you agree?

I actually don't. Not their fault they wanted access to those $3000 giveaways (that for example cg is making) while there wasn't a single rule against it nor SG wasn't taking actions for nearly a half a year about it (as opposed to other bundles - like that humble weekly).

Your analogy doesn't make sense. It's more like the government allowed you to print money in your basement, then 6 months later decided to confiscate all the cash you printed and any cash you print in the future.
This is still not a perfect analogy, but it's better than yours :P

I personally think those who abused it and then started protesting were either trying to diversify themselves from the "evil exploiters" or spiteful that so many others were doing it as well. It's not that hard to think about whether something is in the gray or not and if they created more than one set of giveaways, then they were well aware of what they were doing.
I'm somewhat foggy, but didn't we have CV before the ability to create giveaways with CV restrictions? I think that along with the giveaways groups have brought a huge focus onto CV.

If I remember correctly, you always had your contributions listed in your profile. Since the stat didn't matter too much, no one really cared about it. Giveaway groups always had pretty low minimum CV. They were pretty easy to get into, especially since it was so easy to get past the "no bundle key giveaways" restriction.

Got any funny pictures from support you can share with us? :3

Nope. Nothing even worth mentioning that sort of bullshit yet to make screen shots yet. I'm sure a ticket with a HUGE flaming argument will pop up though giving us a headache or something but I'm sure we won't see something like that for another few days or a week at most.

Aww was hoping you'd have a few major freakouts of people. :p

I gave away like 20 CM games in total (my total giveaways being over 270) and I was complaining about it as you can remember in both forums and support section. Your point being? Cause I think I'm missing it and I'd love to bask in some accusations.

Just kidding. Anyways, it's about time we all have something nice to look forward to.
As some of you may know, in a few weeks the network will be another year older and I think it's about time we have a site wide event to celebrate.
Since it's gonna be summer by then I was thinking of a jaws theme or something for this year unless cg has already planned something.
EDIT: I was pm'd about ppl dropping deuces so I'm not changing the topic title. My war against clean pairs of pants rages on.
