Little Problem -.-

hey guys I got a little problem. I recently won a Gift on this site and I forgot to update my e-mail adress cuz my old email-account has been deactivated. So i wanted to contact the guy - who is gifting the game I won - via steam but when i try to add him it says: "Error adding friend. Please try again.". What should I do now? I tried adding the guy since yesterday without success.
