Can I have a chance for the consolation prize? I broke the bundle barrier before my first win and I never used Idle Master.

I'm jerk because of:

• Entered all the expensive "Complete Pack/GOTY" giveaways because you were missing some cheap DLC?

I'm non-jerk because of:

• Thanked someone who gave away a game, even when you didn't win?
• Won some great games, and actually played them?
• Got some achievements playing those trading card games you won, instead of using Idle Master for the free cards?

I won games that I still not played (good games like Sanitarium, Hitman2, Original War) and I try to idle games if they have cards asap.

Yea, being judged by other people. Hm let me summarize:

Non-Jerky behaviour:

• Gave away games before winning anything myself (please note that my first giveaway was not a bundle game at that time)
• Drove people insane with puzzles here 1, here 2 and here 3. You can still try them out if you want to. Beware solutions are posted in the opening as well. My best question so far is number 6 from the third one.
• Played all games I have won so far and would even 100 % them if I had the patience to do the last achievements. Even played over 80 % of all my Steam games.
• Don't use Idle Master and never intend to.

Jerky behaviour:

• I think I never completely read the FAQ but I guess I know the important stuff by reading forum threads of people breaking rules and doing stuff you are not supposed too written in said FAQ.
• "Complained" (see puzzle one) if I couldn't get CV for my giveaway since it was actually "reachable". Only one of the persons solving the puzzle enter the giveaway => 1 person, 1 giveaway = no CV
• Drove people insane with puzzles
• Needed to write all the Non-jerky stuff to feel better
• Actually made the third puzzle in hope for people to read my guides (boost my views) and rate them (hopefully up)

• Have a terrible sense of humour. See comment above/under -_-
• Wrote an awfully long post

Up to discussion:

• Stopped thanking on giveaway pages but have written an "Thank you" E-Mail to everyone I won a giveaway from
• Have still a gift in my inventory because I'm too lazy to ask support to take it into the list of giveaways and ask if my private giveaway conditions would be okay
• Still have (even installed) games with undropped cards because I hate the idea to idle them and I only want to have shown playtime where I actually (or atleast tried to) played my games.
• Always have the urge to punch people saying things like: "Crap games" "only played for the cards..." "bundle crap" etc. because they can't grasp the concept that there may be people (also if they aren't high in numbers) who like said games.

So all in all I would like to apply for the Consolation prize. Thanks

i'm a jerk because of one simple reason:

I haven't gotten around to 3 of the games I have won due to not having the space to install them right now, and exams/essays in college.

And not sure if robo-commenting means actually having something that auto-comments or doing it yourself saying thanks, I write some form of thank you on mostly every giveaway I enter myself.

And then the non-jerky:

I have thanked every one of my wins as well as all the ones I didn't win, including when people give stuff away in the forums.

I have played 4 of the 7 games I have won, earning achievements in all 4 of them except the one that didn't have achievements.

I've played most of the games I won. (Except The Wichter, for which I don't have an excuse :/)
I've not started any events, but I've been chucking non-bundled games in for quite a few. (Well, non-bundled at the time of the event at least)
And I usually thank people that give away less common games.

Jerky behavior is not playing The Witcher yet, and the occasional horrid shitpost to hide some giveaway in.

I would like to try for the Jerkfest Consolation Prizes because I carefully checked the examples of qualifying Jerkfest behaviour, and failed to meet any of them. Also I played the game I won.

A little disappointing to not see my name on the generous list. s'okay though. I'll just sit in the corner and eat my cake by myself.

So what happens if I qualify for both groups?

Because the "jerk" things I did include:

• Still haven't read the Steamgifts FAQ after two years (the rules aren't that hard to understand)

• Won a bunch of great games but never played them (I'm still young and I'll get to it, dammit...)

• Idle Mastered your wins for the trading cards, and never played the games (I've installed and milked cards from every game I own, cause card prices drop, dawg!)

• Robo-commented something like Thank you very much for the chance to win this great game :D in every giveaway you entered :) (I copy/paste a generic "thanks :)" for every generic giveaway I enter, if there is something written in the info box by the gifter, I respond to it accordingly)

The angelic, and divine things I've done include:

• Thanked someone who gave away a game, even when you didn't win

• Gave away some games, before you even won any yourself

• Won some great games, and actually played them

• Got some achievements playing those trading card games you won, instead of using Idle Master for the free cards

• Something not so jerky, I couldn't even imagine it? - hmm... I gave away more games than I won, that's a decent thing to do, right?

Anyway, if you're still reading this, I would like to try for the Jerkfest Consolation Prizes, because I don't feel like a jerk. :S

fiftykyu, would you add to the jerk list the use of Easy SteamGifts to Auto join and auto comment every giveaway, or been a member of easySG for that matter.

I qualify for the Jerkfest because:

• I wouldn't trust any third-party software such as Idle Master to be a proper jerk, so I idle-farm trading cards manually.
• I won Darksiders, Darksiders 2, Hitman: Absolution, Deus Ex: Revolutuion, King's Bounty: Armored Princess, Red Faction: Armageddon and practically never played them. I have no idea what the hell those 2 hours on Hitman: Absolution are - I've never finished the first mission.
• I haven't visited Steamgifts for months, then I saw your thread and decided that a few free Steam icons won't hurt.
• I did try to give away a region-locked Witcher 2, although it wasn't region-locked when I bought it. But I tried to maneuver around the then-active FAQ and was suspended for it.
• I used to share answers for people's puzzles. That was way before the FAQ has covered it though.
• I am simply greedy enough.

I think I qualify for Jerkfest because of:

I won a bunch of great games but never played them.It is not like I am entering giveaways I will never play,or just for cards.My backlog is getting bigger than I could finish my games,thanks to time killing games like dota or tf2 :)

I learned the FAQ from forums,mainly from people who get banned when opening a topic like "please give me ....,I need it!!!!"

I am thanking someone when entering a giveaway.I won't thank them if I am on my phone,typing is pain in the ass :)

I don't think my puzzles are hard,but there is always less than 20 entries for some reason.Maybe people don't like to solve my puzzles ;__;

• Helped give some folks Laughter & Smiles, I also ended up not only doing those 3 giveaways, but also added over a dozen folks on Steam just to gift them games directly because some their stuff I enjoyed a lot

• I've done at least one other giveaway thread, but I don't have the link and it has been many months ago, but I do remember doing it, because it had to do with my being in a really great mood at having finally found a really awesome new place.

• Skyrim

• I also have a bunch of games to do a few more giveaway series, but feeling a little burned out lately, so been rather quiet. Most likely will do some of it at Xmas or sometime next month

• EDIT: I just remembered: I guessed JBond's giveaway thread a couple months or so ago was for his bday and surprised him with a game on his wishlist and then made several giveaways in that thread

It may look like I'm not a jerk cause I didn't win anything here but already made two giveaways.

But I only made these GAs to increase my CV to be able to enter more GAs.
I also won some games on other sites and haven't played them (yet!) and only idled for cards.
If it isn't enough, sometimes I'm entering giveaways for games I know will not run on my current computer, but I want them in case I buy new one in future.
