Region Restriction Question

Hey guys. Is this redeemable and playable in non RU/CIS countries? I got it from a trade and the other person claimed it was playable worldwide. Thanks for your help!

Yes, Tomb Raider and Tomb Raider Collection are not locked in Russia. Edit: Note the purchase restriction only. There's another lock on 'activate only'/'runinonly' or something along those lines that restricts game use to a specific country. Where it's not specified, it does not exist.

MaximumBunny's. That sub is indeed 'playable' worldwide, doesn't mean you can activate it worldwide.

It should be playable and can be activated / redeemable worldwide (as they're the same thing as far as I know)

It cannot be purchased worldwide (hence the PurchaseRestrictedCountries row, can only be bought in those countries). But there is no row saying onlyallowrunincountries like Borderlands 2 RU, which restricts activation by IP address of certain countries.

But I think you still may want to check/search around that it has English or other languages, as sometimes RU/CIS copies only have few selected languages for their regions.

Also another risk is, since it has its own App ID/entry in the Steam database and Steam library. If the publisher suddenly decides to put Activation/Playable Restriction at some point in the future, then it becomes unredeemable if it's still in your inventory, and unplayable if already activated.

as far as I know, it is tagged as RU+CIS. However, it can be played in everywhere without any region lock. The tag might be the issue but this game has been released for over 6 months. So I think publisher will not change the RU version into region locked version. It should be region free forever.
