Oooh, Dead Horde. Any idea what their pricing system will imitate? Humble Bundle, Indie Royale or Indie Gala? And any dates?

I found dead horde to be fun. It does get boring a few levels in. Co-op keeps it fun, and speed running to get the time trail stuff if you like that stuff will keep it fun for you.

Really, I buy these bundles automatically as an excuse to support the industry.. or indie-stry, if you will (groan)
the handful of fun games are like an awesome bonus ^_^

Runespell is like Solitaire took steroids and started having unprotected sex with Poker.

It's alright, it takes awhile to learn it and get the right spell/item combo. Sadly you can't use the spells you like about 50% of the time, instead you have to choose specific spells that will win the battle otherwise you won't win. It gets pretty hard.

Runespell is pretty cool if you dig that style. But when are they going to have a bundle with the Puzzle Quest and Eschalon games in it??

the bundles need to exist to help sustain the existence of indie outfits; they don't have big publisher dollars backing them up, therefore WE need to be the ones who step up, vote with our dollars, and help keep them alive and growing

20 tops, of the ones that have steam keys, about 7.

Can't say of these really interest me. Already own the ones that weren in the other bundles. Guess this is a skip.

Pretend that those games you already have aren't included in the bundle. Now, with the "recycled games" argument out of the way, how much would you be willing to spend for the 3-4 other games? If still no more than 5c then fair enough.

It's normal they're recycled. The founders of the bundles ask the developers to get the licenses for free instead of buying the games from retail. Obviously only a few games will end up in any bundle, and they're the games that have stopped selling. Getting in a bundle is a great way for the dev to sell some more copies, but obviously you get much less money - if a game still sells at full price, the dev doesn't need to get it in a bundle.
It's a cycle. In a month or two we'll have new games on the market and bundles won't have any game from the cycle we're in right now. They will, however, still offer recycled games - namely, the ones we'll get in the next cycle.

imo, these bundles are more about the supporting the devs than about taking advantage of near-free games; they are a 'humble' and VERY inexpensive gift being given in exchange for asking for fans to support future indie projects. It's a matter of perspective, and that's mine.

If you like death match games, Booster Trooper is a really fun game, not something you'll play all day long (unless you have friends) but it is something easy to jump into when you have nothing else to play and doesn't seem to be the type of game that will lose it's 'fun-ness' further down the road.

I don't feel my face being kicked because I own the only good game for me in the pack (Runespell).

Which one exactly? XD
I'd say Runespell was excessively hard, though I don't remember the whole game, and in the end really tiring to play.
Haven't played Dead Horde but looks like "yet another" top-down zombiefest - you know, the kind of game where you choose a perk every level and wait for weapons to drop from the sky?
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, in Dead Horde you don't choose perks if I remember correctly. The levels can be large but there's always a shop somewhere in the level where you can upgrade your weapons with money made from killing stuff. You can drive in the game which is fun. There are no direction hints so you can get lost quite frequently and when you hit a locked gate, it'll trigger a "horde" event where you need to kill all the zombies that just spawned for the gate to open.

Wow, I must be buying too many games. I already have all the games in the bundle. Thats the first time this has happened to me.
