Yeah, thats kinda what makes Minecraft awesome, if you don't feel like surviving Creeper/Zombie/Skeleton attacks you can just hide in your mine and DIGGGG!

That said... I don't know what else they could do with the game.

It'll be like minecraft, how it's released in alpha and you can buy ahead of time, and still own the game after it's complete. I'm assuming the Mod will phase out or be updated. Probably will have some developers branch out to make their own mods from it. After all, there's already quite a few variations to DayZ on the server list already.

Really? I read it as "we know people already bought Arma II, now we gotta make sure they're willing to pay €10, €15 more for our completely separate game, but not piss them off for having spent money on a game they now no longer need."

Glad you posted this OP, I won't be buying Arma II if it goes on sale now.
