I have a question, can the steam vouchers that they're now selling at gamestop work in Canada? Because I go to the U.S. every month or 2 with my family and I'm considering buying one of these. I think there might be a possibility because I bought counter strike source from Best Buy in the U.S. and they let me activate the game with the cd key on my account.

The question you're supposed to be asking is: will they be sold in Canada as well? Since GameStop does own EB Games and that every new store they open does bear the GameStop logo, I'm assuming yes. But you never know!

It doesn't matter to me if they're sold in Canada or not. I live in Vancouver which is fairly close to the U.S. where I actually happen to go every month. If they work I will probably get one next time I go to there.

If it doesnt work likely you could just trade it for something else..

But it should just convert it into your currency

To be honest I don't see why. The Canadian Steam Store still uses USD. Therefore there's hardly much benefit to using these cards. You're not even beating the currency exchange.

Exactly what satoru said.

I have no proof, but it would be ridiculous if it couldn't activate. You will get $xx USD in your Steam Wallet, not CAD like some people have been guessing.

There's not much of a difference between the value of USD and CAD i believe

No idea why they wouldnt work? Its just a code you put into steam with x amount of . Should be able to buy in U.S. and use in Iraq. As long as steam gets $ dont see why they would care what country it comes from.

It's not always like that, I bought microsoft points while I was in U.S. and they wouldn't work on my Canadian account stupid me

But that's different, xbox accounts are country restricted and work differently from Steam accounts. Once you set your country on your xbox account you can never change it.

Probably. I doubt they would region restrict them. They're probably planning to expand internationally if it's successful in the US.
