So Greenlight bundle meaning that you buy the games and hope that eventually they go onto steam, otherwise you just threw money away?

Comment has been collapsed.

You get Desura or DRM free copies as well. Just because a game isn't on Steam, doesnt mean you are "throwing money away"

Yeah, Survivor Squad, among others, is really fun. Although it's rather buggy too, and and the scaling is odd. Rough, but fun for a while. :)

Playing it on Desura, from I think the Indie Gala June bundle.

Im a bit disappointed that they're doing another one so fast,

Nothing has happened with any games from the Build a Greenlight Bundle 2

Comment has been collapsed.

You can't say nothing has happened. Something has happened!

Death Ray Manta removed their greenlight page, thus fucking over everyone who supported them and bought the game.

They voluntarily did it too, I wonder why?

If you didn't like the upkeep associated with trying to get it greenlit, you could've just ignored it instead of removing it entirely.

That said, I shouldn't have said nothing has happened, I think a few of the games did get put on desura.

I was thinking the same thing, its not like i'm expecting them all to make it onto steam, but it would be cool if a couple did.

I think it may be some of the following:

Skyrim,

Last of Us,

Final Fantasy 7,

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon,

Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing.

But I could be wrong.

If you think about investment to get free Steam key later, forget it and don't purchase the bundle. So far it's just a few games getting through Greenlit and providing keys for BAB buyers. Bleed comes through mind quickly.

Buy this bundle only if you want to play the game genuinely or support the Developers. Heck, even for the latter it's wiser to buy directly - since buying bundles means they're getting income cut.

I'm not good at his things but some of them are obvious:

  1. the cat means clearly that the bundle will include the new game team meat is developing.
  2. rain drops this can only mean that heavy rain has been ported to pc and that it's distributed for the first time by groupees
  3. it's clearly the head of moguri in shadow so a final fantasy from the series
  4. Wolf...then of course it's the witcher (i don't know which of them).
I haven't found yet the others but i think for now this list it's 100% correct.

You really think a Team meat game would be on greenlight and sold for pretty much 75 cents on day 1?

I'd replace Burden Planet with BrokenEarth.

Comment has been collapsed.

For the last two I was pretty much grasping at straws. Trying to find some game with either a cat or the planet earth on their cover photo. I could certainly be dead wrong on both accounts. The first 3 however, I'm more confident in my guesses. (Howler is pretty much a given)

From the picture (planet Earth seemingly broken in two parts), your guess is definitely a better fit. Updating my previous post to reflect that. :)

The last greenlight bundle I bought was about 6 months ago because I was looking forward to getting some steam keys for the games.
I'm still waiting for any of them to be released on Steam.

I think this whole idea of Greenlight Bundles is crap tbh, but whatever:s

Comment has been collapsed.

Greenlight bundles may be a bad idea, but they exist because Greenlight itself is a broken mess that encourages such behavior in desperate and/or idealistic developers. (I can understand why the Death Ray Manta guy pulled his game, rather than continue to support the current system.)

I tell you something about the very first greenlight bundle: Only one game was released on steam until yet.

Date of 1. greenlight bundle: Dez. 2012.

You still want it?

Greenlight links:
BrokenEarth
Drip Drip
OCEAN CITY RACING
OverLight
Paradigm Shift
Rawbots
Residue
Rooks Keep
The Howler

In my point of view only last 2 has some chances to be greenlighted. Though can't imagine myself playing The Howler.
My wife and son may consider me insane. :D

Rawbots is a lot like Kerbal Space Program but with robots... and a multiplayer arena on top... It was pretty close to being greenlit last I heard, it really deserves to gain some popularity.
