Golden Joystick Awards - Free Mafia2 or Civ5 [Ends Oct.20]

In honor of the Golden Joystick Awards GreenmanGaming and 2K games have teamed up and are giving away your choice of Mafia II or Civilization V. Both are redeemable through Steam.

Here's how:

• First you need to make CVG and GMG accounts, !!IMPORTANT!! You must use the SAME EMAIL for both accounts or it won't recognize you.
• Next Login into The Golden Joystick Awards and click "Start Voting >"
• Go through the process of voting for whatever Games/Publishers/etc you want, doesn't matter as long as you vote for something, feel free to skip categories that don't interest you.
• Once you're done voting click "Submit Votes" and confirm your email and country.
• Now you have to go to the GMG Golden Joystick page, click HERE
• Choose your game, and then fill out the form using your GMG account details(the email should match your CVG one as well), hit "I want my free game"
• You should get a confirmation screen, and then receive a verification email. Click the verification link in the email.
• After clicking the link you'll probably get a page saying "Oooops. Looks like you haven’t voted yet.", but don't worry you'll just have to wait 12-24 hours for them to recognize your votes. You'll get an email with your Steam code once they do. If for some reason you don't get it try clicking the verification link again.

That's it. Sounds a bit complicated, but it isn't that bad. You get one of two decent games out of this for free, it's up to you to determine if it's worth it.

Now for the fine-print:

You must be 16 or older to qualify(just check your birth year ;)). Voting ends October 20th so you might want to hurry up. Also if you live in the below countries you don't qualify either.

Disqualified Countries:

• Mafia II: Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Venezuela, Burma, China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela
• Civilization 5: Burma, China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria
