New Chrome update completely removed ability to add non-chromestore extensions. As for now, there's no known workaround. This is heavyhand response to growing malware threat.

With Developer Mode it runs fine, you just have to load the decompressed extension

Google mentioned that a few times over the past few months that anything not downloaded and approved by them would stop working.
And it did so 2 or 3 weeks ago, but it doesnt disable until you reboot chrome.
I had to delete and reinstall 2 times before using tampermonkey.

I installed TamperMonkey and poked around in it, but I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do to get SteamGifts Plus Alternative working again. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks

I just reinstalled steamgifts plus again after installing tampermonkey. SG+ stayed greyed out and still looks disabled in extension list, don't let that fool you. hth
