Because its rude? If you have nothing useful to say, don't say anything.

Your post adds nothing to the conversation, it just insults OP who put obvious time into his post.

So you're just being rude for the sake of being rude?

For all the mentions of Black Mesa within Portal, I really do hope that there is a crossover if either title makes it to 3. I don't know about just bundling together all the source games like that, it'd be like trying to write a storyline for Garry's Mod. Let that sink in for a moment.

HL3 will be a prequel about Gordon Freeman's predoctorate work. Valve will announce this tomorrow with a random HL 2 update.

Well, if HL3 is the last HL (I doubt it) I would like to see a retail collector's edition with some cool items inside :D
A crowbar maybe or a living headcrab :D

They'll release Portal 3, TF3, L4D3, Dota 3 and HL3 in a bundle for free.

i want them to put a big banner on steam with gman´s face on it before release, each day they put a different face like alyx, and when its released, gordons face with the words "its out".
however as a side note i want them to put more stuff interesting to the game, something like a train scen where you are witha bunch of rebels, and while you travel you shoot combines/zombies.

You like those game ideas, don't you?
I just want the release to be a total surprise, just one day you go to the steam store and Gordon is staring you in the face.

I'd like if they released it in the 10th anniversary of Half Life.
Just a brief announcement the week before saying "we have a surprise ready for the next week".
But I doubt they can do that... the servers wouldn't be able to deliver the game to everybody at once.

Hey, have you ever tried it? Once you get used to it, it's quite nice. Most people have always been using Windows, so they know how to use it. If people got to know Linux, they would be happy with it. It is much better than Windows, to be honest. Not to be elitist or anything, but it has better customizability, better software-management, better security, better price, etc.

It was partially sarcasm, but also, it would have a lot more people trying out Linux and seeing how it really is.

Well, I grew up on Windows, so I just stay here... That and if you look up games that can be played on Linux in the Steam store, you get like 3 pages instead of 1500...

That just proves my point. Most people have always used Windows, so they use Windows and don't know about much else. The software issue is not with the OS itself, it's a product of most people using Windows. Now that Steam is on Linux, and lots of indie games are being made for Linux, along with the Steam Box running on Linux, it's really picking up traction. Once enough people use Linux, there will be more games, etc. made for it.

Why does everyone want them to release it by just putting it up for sale randomly? I want them to blow up the frickin' moon in the shape of the Half-Life 3 logo... Or Korea (that was a joke, ha ha, fat chance)...
Comment has been collapsed.
whatever :P i wont buy it even if they explode the moon
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, with their hints about it everywhere (and than denying their existence) and absolute ignore of all their fans about it. I don't think I am gonna just ignore that and buy it when and if they feel like finally releasing that damn game.

I want the Combine portals to be linked to the Aperture portals. So there will be a big portal like in Episode 2, but this time it will actually open and Freeman will go through to a combine civilization, or outpost, or whatever. They need to go BIG no matter what, and that's what I think of when I think BIG :)
Btw, blowing up the moon is a great idea.

So first thing's first... The announcement... I hope that Valve launches a nuclear missile strike on the moon, and when the moon explodes, it is left in the shape of the Half-Life 3 logo...
Do you think that they should do this, or should they just launch napalm on it so the fire looks like the logo, or should they do something more subtle like blackout most of the U.S. and what's left on looks like the logo?
Now for the story...
Me and my friend have been talking about this for a while and we have finally come to a conclusion of what Half-Life 3 will be about...
Left 4 Team Half Portal Strike of Defeat... L4D, TF2, HL, Portal, CS, and DoD, all in one...
It's going to start out with Chell and the companion cube walking around when Chell sees someone in the distance, she runs towards it thinking she finally found someone else on the planet... When she gets there, the person will turn around, only to reveal it's not a human, but a zombie, and there's a horde... And then, out of no where, gun shots come raining in and all eight people from both L4D games come running in to help... They start explaining the whole zombie concept, when one of them gets closer to the body of a zombie and notices it's different... It's got a headcrab on it... Then, they backtrack to a city and when they get there, there are people fighting, the CS people, and the Combine... Then, out of no where, a person in a red shirt jumps across the rooftops, and an army follows behind... TF2... So they all fight, take down the combine, and then that's where everything begins... Wait, where's Freeman? Well... He is going to mysteriously appear when they run out of ammo and you will hear whack whack whack, He comes in to save the day with his trusty crowbar...
But seriously though, we really think that it's going to be a cross between Portal and Half-Life just because of the Borealis (not sure if spelled right) thing and whatnot. But my friend put this together... Why is it the, "hand-held portal device?" You don't call a cup a hand-held mug, do you? I mean, they have hand-held devices like the PS Vita, PSP, NDS etc. etc. But those all have bigger version of them, PS3 and Wii... So why the hand-held portal device? There is something bigger... Perhaps that is what the Borealis is, is just a giant portal device that looks like a boat...
I'm sure a lot of what I have said is obvious, but hey, there are some people out there who have never heard of any of this so that's why I said it... That and people can prove me wrong and shtuff...
And hey, the good thing about this theory is they they don't have to learn how to count to 3, they can just call it Half-Portal (name WIP)...
TL;DR version:
Blow up moon to look like HL3 logo, All Valve games combined, Portal and Half-Life mix...
