The first rule of the internet is that there are no girls, until proven otherwise. So to expect anyone with a hot girl's picture is a hot girl, is a silly expectation. However, I do find it pointless, I don't really know why people do it anyway but who am I to judge anyway.

um not sure but people probably use the avatar they like and if they find a better one they change it. Whether or not irl they are a girl or a guy so just leave it be. Besides if you really wanna get to know someone then ask them questions don't randomly start assuming this or that about the person. But my two cents don't count i guess cause well i have alice from Alan Wake as my avatar on that note I'll use whatever avatar I wanna use. As far as facebook goes i guess everything about that website is 100% fact so we had all better believe it.
