I'm a male and for the past ~15 years I've had short hair (an inch maybe) and I've been growing out my hair for the past year so that I can donate it so that someone can use it who has been affected by cancer. I look ridiculous, it drives me crazy, but hopefully it'll be made into part of a wig someone else can use to help them feel "normal" again when they're going through so much.
