Thanks! That 2nd one worked for me.
If I actually get chosen, then I'll bother buying an inferior control scheme.

I read you'll get steam-pad along steambox, so you might not need to.

+1. Works like a charm. Even if you have a 360 pad like me.

+1 I'm using a 6$ gamepad as if it is 360 gamepad with it.

I dont think so. I had some cheap gamepads, now I have xbox 360 controller. Totally other level, not comparable at all.

To be honest, I rarely use controller at all. I'm an oldschool PC gamer so I play with M&KB in most cases. I just use my controller for few M&KB unfriendly games such as Castle Crashers. So I don't think that paying $30+ for a controller makes sense if you gonna use it for just few games once in a while.

Me too, I have it only for racing games when I am too lazy for playing on steering wheel. And keyboard for racing games are useless, you know. Anyway, xbox gamepad is other league and it is also for pretty fair price, so I think it is nobrainer

This neve worked for me. Fucking never.

Every time I set it up, the game will load with the default key bindings of my cheap usb gamepad (which is to say, shit), completely ignoring whatever you set up in 360ce. Other than that, even if I could get it to work, it's just too much of a hassle. Fuck it.

Good for you. It still doesn't change the fact that for ME it never worked, and probably never will.

draw a big + on your stomach towards the bottom, and four circles near your neck, label those circles A B X Y, and color them green red blue and yellow respectively. Draw two smaller ovals just above your belly button and label them 'start' and 'select', and draw a big green X over your belly button. Next, hold your arms on a circle shape on either side of your body, the right arm low down by your legs, the left arm up near your shoulders. Congratulations, you are now emulating a gamepad.

Vjoy and x360ce doesn't work... :/

Why not just go buy a controller? They want you to use an actual gamepad for the badge because if you're picked for the beta it's expected that you'll do at least some beta testing with one.

Steam will replace xbox360ce's xinput dll file with its own. How nice. Fortunately for you, it doesn't load the DLL immediately after replacing it. Just put it back.

Nope, doesn't work. It doesn't show up as a gamepad, instead it only emulates keystrokes and mouse clicks.

Their loss. Works fine for me.

If we are talking about Motionjoy, then I used it for quite some time until it started making tons of controllers and giving me bluescreens when I plug USB devices in.

I found that other DS3 tool (which is called "DS3 Tool")to be very very handy, since it can, unlike Motionjoy, work with a slack joint plus the software is very lightweight, works in offline mode WITHOUT having to modify the files and has no ads what so ever.

My DS3 Tool

Only thing I dislike about this is that it links me to a 'www.sh.com' when I open it, which may or may not be a japenese pornhub.

Are you seriously unsure if that is the motionjoy DS3 tool?

Comment has been collapsed.

You said there's more than one, a.k.a 'I found that OTHER DS3 tool...'.

I know that it's called DS3 tool, and motionjoy ( The name for it in my program files shows DS3 tool, named that by default ).

EDIT: Nevermind, I re-read your post. Okay, so is the other DS3 tool better?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I personally have way less issues with it. It runs more stable, doesnt bluescreen my computer, doesn't fuck up because of a slack joint.

I find it better, yes ( plus no ads and no online-forced mode)

I didn't had my DS3 near me, so i used my psp to emulate a controller. Works fine with the homebrew Fusa Gamepad (you need a CF on you PSP of course)

OMFG just buy a cheapest Gamepad for 5$, and use x360ce. Anyway - some games better to play with a pad.
