Thanks too but I don't like Star Wars, or MMOs. So, have a free bump.

lol, no one gives a shit about the game, and we're trying to make other people try it out. We're like drug dealers. Here, have some MMO crystal meth.

Ha, this is an absolutely pointless thing to do.
1) The game comes out in roughly a month anyways.
2) If you signed up on official SWTOR website, they are handing out weekend betas like crazy in order to stress test the servers.
PS: I highly doubt the legitimacy of this since people who signed up on the official SWTOR website 3 years ago (like myself) didn't even get an invite to WEEKEND beta until just recently. It's highly unlikely that they are going to let them go out so easily. Also, even if these are legit, then odds are that they would only allow you to use the European servers which will lag like hell if you aren't in Europe.

It's legit - you get the code which you redeem on SW:TOR website in your Account Management. Then you can see that you're participating in the stress test event, which apparently will be held next week's weekend.
And what's the problem with EU servers? I mean, we all-- oh, wait! Even I don't live in EU. Still, I play WoW on EU servers (usually) without any major lag. Sure local 10ms is much, much better than my 200-300ms, but hey!

Mostly pointing out the fact that these are clearly intended for EU players and I'm amazed they'd even let anyone other than someone in EU use them since playing in the wrong server will give inaccurate data related to the amount of lag a person experiences.

I know you can choose your server, I was in the last weekend beta. But I also know that they were wanting the Europeans to use the EU server in order to get accurate data. A stress test is meant to simulate the launch day and I highly doubt that there will be a bunch of US people playing on the EU servers on launch day.

from what i can gather on the forums, the code from this is to be a participant in the stress test weekend -- whenever that is (there's not one specified, but it might be this weekend... or some other one...)
(i.e. nothing to download yet)
ty for the link though -- seems legit enough to me.

It's not this weekend. Anyone was was involved in the last test gets into the next one and I haven't received any news as to when the next one is yet. As for where to download, if you are actually accepted for the beta then you will get an email with the download link.

It's okay because anyone who was invited to the beta last week should have received an email informing them that they get to do the next one as well.

There are many sites giving away keys, not just this one. The official SWTOR site has a list of them on the following page. Also, BioWare themselves are giving away an additional 400,000 keys on their Facebook page...basically, anyone who wants to play during the stress test event (Nov 25-28) can do so. But you have to register your beta key by the end of today to get in.

Preload early, if you can, they'll be giving you most of next week to do so, but millions of invitations were sent out, and the download is 20-30 GB (previous beta weekend testers will only have to update their client, they don't have to redownload the entire game).

BioWare said that they will start sending out emails after the beta key registration period ends, so expect to get your email by early next week. If it's anything like the beta weekends, the email will direct you to log into your SWTOR account on the official website, go to swtor.com/tester page to RSVP for the test, and then once you've RSVPed, the page will be updated with a client download link.

Actually, last stress test they did they managed to get the servers handled very quickly. The first hour or 2 of testing was ridiculous, but after that it ran just as smoothly as any other MMO. There will definitely be more lag because of more people, but they will handle it quickly.

Deadline to redeem keys just got bumped back to Sunday, November 20: http://twitter.com/#!/SWTOR/status/137627587236204545

If you've been selected then you shouldn't need a key. Just sign in and download. (I've been selected for the last three phases. Four if you count this one.)

I think i have enough with DC Universe online atm, thank you :), i dont usually go to a beta unless i'm positive i'm buying the game on launch, hence i'm desperate for a Dota 2 key hehe :)

Playing during an open beta stress test is basically saying "WHY YES I WOULD LIKE SOME MORE LAG IN MY WOW CLONE!"
Comment has been collapsed.
Would you prefer that there be major lag in the released game? As you said, "stress test." It's for a reason, genius.

Here's one of the first public livestreams of high level SWTOR beta gameplay by DarthHater staff since the NDA was lifted:
Doh, he stopped the stream shortly after I posted it, saying he'll be streaming again later in the day.

Bumping this thread to let people know that you should now be able to RSVP for the weekend event and download the client by logging into swtor.com/tester.

The game is actually over 36 GB once fully installed. That's what happens when the game has fully voiced npc and player character dialogue for 8 classes worth of origin stories and unique encounters, 2 genders each, and 5 unique companions for each class (some of which are romanceable, lol), with their own quests and so forth.

Content isn't really something you should complain about, in my opinion.

I would like to see REAL Star Wars: The Old Republic Beta keys... not just these WEEKEND stress test keys. FULL TIME BETA KEYS.. when the stress test weekends end the servers don't go down.. you just lose access.. FULL Beta tests get access all week long...

This Norwegian site gives away beta keys for SWTOR.

Enter name in 'navn' field and email in 'e-post' field and you should receive an invite or something. I didn't try it myself because I have no interest in this game, but I think some people here might be and there you have it. I think it needs to be activated in email as soon as it is received. Found this on Reddit BTW.
