"Friend"? You are saying that the guy who were begging at your doorstep wasn't OP?

Yeah, it was OP. Got confused with the line where he comments something about a post made by a friend of him. Fixed

I'm going to report this guy for wanting your key so he can activate it on origin. Thank's for showing me the screenshot :)

i also got invited by him. ignored.

and that won't work. you need the key to register your game. if you give it to someone else, your steam copy will be useless.

Ah, i see. Though that you can activate they key on steam and origin.

technically, you can. but must be activated on your Origin account.

iinm, when you play Dead Space 2 on Steam, you need to login to your EA account. If your EA account aka Origin doesn't have Dead Space 2, it will ask for the key.

I usually ignore random invites, but I saw a lot of games in his account so I tought maybe he wasn't a beggar. Silly me

I only have Dead Space 2 on 360. Though it came with a Plasma Cutter since it was a pre order. I also have 1, 3, Extraction and some really bad one on XBox Live Arcade which acts as back story for the second game. Still need the movies, and wish I had a phone capable of playing the mobile game.

Don't care. I'm sure it is far better than the XBox Live game. That one was just **** as far as gameplay goes, and I still beat it. Loved the Hacker suit I got from it.

Yeah that xbl arcade one was horrible but at least it was easy to get all the achievements

I would have loved it without the crap minigames. Had it been a visual novel only, I would have tried every path.

Fun fact: You can take Dead Space 2's CD-key from Steam and redeem it on Origin.

Fun fact: Being able to buy the best suits and weapons for zero credits kinda spoils the challenge.

Fun fact: PRAISE ALTMAN! Chosen of the Marker, architect of the Church!

yeah, the free suits/weapons really spoiled it for me :'( Have it on Origin only tho, got it for like 2$ a week after the humble origin bundle - looking for awakened now :)

EDIT: Can I do the other way arround? Activate from origin to steam? Guess not but oh well, doesnt hurt to ask :P

Nope, doesn't work that way. It gives you a CD key from EA in Steam, that the game uses, and that works in EA's client.

Wait, from the looks of this thread it sounds like you don''t have to pay for the DLC suits in the origin copy. Does anyone know if you get the DLC free in the Steam versions or if it's just missing?

I got the DLC in the steam version and didn't even realise it was included with the purchase. And yeah, they're free once you can find an in-game store to collect them.

Despite people saying that it spoiled the game, I don't really think so. Sure they provide buffs and such, but just like Dead Space 1, the non-standard guns can be pretty situational, and only the plasma welder (starting gun) is really needed to finish the game. If you spent hard-earned credits on those weapons, you would just be burning your resources to gamble at whether or not you'd find the gun remotely useful (just like DS1). I often found myself just carrying a single backup weapon, so that the ammo spawns stayed useful to me.

I don't have the DLC version, but those guns are free? :O

But yes, those guns are always very situational. Preferred weapons has pretty much always been the Plasma Cutter. Only other guns I really used were Pulse Rifle and that mine gun thing (laying mines can be really handy, just firing it straight at an enemy makes it explode directly).

Others guns I ususally discarded very soon after trying them.

The PC version gets most of the DLCs free, while console has to pay for them. IIRC though, it is lacking a DLC which is a continuation of Extraction (which was on Wii and PS3), with it only available on consoles.

This guy want's your dead space 2 cd key so he can activate it on origin, And it is not going to happen. Reported for begging. Now you can go close this thread. Thank you moyako1802 for the screenshot.

Hardly.

OP will now be facing a lengthy suspension in addition to the fact that many people on here will remember what he's done, and give him pretty short shrift.

If he won one of my giveaways I'd cheerfully take the "not received" strike in preference to giving anything to this conniving conkersack, and I'm sure I am not the only one who thinks that way.
