Wonderful game but extremely flawed. I'm really really hoping for a HD remake or even a massive bug-fix re-release. That would restore my faith in humanity for a few days.

the latest version of the game is 1.1 - a patch can be downloaded from the official website.
AND, BTW, there seems to be work in progress on Pathologic remake, although no additional information was given out.

I got the game on Gamer's Gate a while back and I think I played it with the latest patch. Even if I did miss it there was a whole range of problems that I'm sure couldn't be fixed with a single patch.
That's interesting about a possible remake in the works. I saw a whole bunch of failed attempts at fan patches/mods/projects that would improve the game but to my knowledge none of them ever bore fruit.

Pathologic was originally made for Slavonic countries (in terms of texts and playability - russian gamers love hardcore games) and in the beginning was more like an art project than a game.
and seems like they mentioned it back in 2009 during an interview with rock.paper.shotgun (currently unavailable) and this year, when they were doing a kickstarter project for their new game Knock Knock. They were going to check how kickstarter work and announced that they were looking for a publisher and producer to make a remake.
