Had the same issue yesterday, had to try about 5 times before it finally worked.

same happened here, then it said i had 0$ worth of games , then refreshed 10 times it finally worked

Well, for several reasons (enter a couple of groups and bought a couple of games) I have synced my profile more often than not (At least once a day or so) And most of the time I'm getting this error.
