^ this, everything with Windows Live is a waste of money tbh.

the same goes for bioshock what does that mean we wont play bioshock ?

It's hard to enjoy the story due the horribly dull, almost 20h long, gameplay with no pleasure from shooting the same annoying enemies all the time. If this game was shorter, let's say, by half it would be a really amazing shooter. But the more I played the more I was bored and at the end it was like a punishment. Disappointment was the greater that I've heard so many times how amazing Bioshock is. Unfortunately, I can't find fun in this game and get to like it and no one and nothing can change my mind.

Like somebody wrote on Toy Soldiers forum, Windows Live is a cancer. Hope they'll implement steamworks soon to Toy Soldiers.

Chime was... okay. It was an interesting idea, but they only used, what, four songs? They could've done a lot more with it, maybe put out a new song (with their filters) from time to time. I've had it for a year and a half, and only played it for 5 hours.

The 4 bought on first day Sale -.-
Not because they are bad, but because they all came out cheaper later on :/
Although 7 years of service on Steam, it´s my first sale, so yeah... next sale i know one thing: Buy last day or featured ones.
Damned!

Homefront. Without a doubt, one of the worst single player campaigns ever.
Only upside was I got Metro 2033, which was almost worth buying Homefront.

Just forward your ports. There are plenty of guides online. It's really easy.
Comment has been collapsed.
I also tried that, still strict NAT, even though all ports are opened.... :s
Comment has been collapsed.
so ur firewall is blocking it because you are a newbie its not the game's fault..
Comment has been collapsed.
So my firewall blocks it even though I explicitly told it to allow the program through?
Comment has been collapsed.
and FYI, just turned firewall OFF. Still a strict NAT.

If it's a user error, then why is it only this game? When I play Black Ops for instance, my router is open. I have forwarded the correct ports for AC:R, I triple-checked. There's nothing else I can think of that might be causing this problem...
I would appreciate any possible suggestion...

When I play other games my NAT-type is OPEN(after port-forwarding). I have forwarded the correct ports for AC:R, I triple-checked. There's nothing else I can think of that might be causing this problem...

right click the game in steam, properties, local files, verify integrity of game cache ;)

Didn't consider it at first, but I agree with this. Mainly because I'm a more casual Dungeon Defenders player and I thought it would just be some fun new maps and things, only to find out it's just some ultra-hard stuff for the people who somehow managed to find the ultra high end items just so they can get even ultra-ier high end items.

You really need to be proficient with at least three of the classes at level 70 and higher if you can to make it through even the first one on medium. Like, until you can get through most of the main campaign maps with a party of two on insane, you really have no chance of enjoying the Eternia DLC. So, buy carefully.

OK, so I see what you're saying, but I have to disagree. Granted, I've spent 215 hours on this game from day one so I was already set up to play those harder levels. I guess as I think about it more, it really does take ages to be able to play them correctly. Fair enough.

Left 4 dead
and
Mount and blade
because. mount and blade warband and left 4 dead 2 is just the same
Comment has been collapsed.
I think he means warband is more of the same from other mount and blade, and L4D2 is more of the same from L4D1. These arguments could be made without trolling :P
Comment has been collapsed.
that's pretty logical, because warband is a remake of the original m&b and left 4 dead 2 has all the campaigns of the first

Torchlight and Batman: Arkham Asylum. Both were on sale very shortly after I started using Steam, when I wasn't used to the kind of crazy sales that happen. I grabbed Torchlight because "omg, only $5?" and then didn't get around to playing it for a year or two and wasn't a huge fan when I did finally do so. I really liked Arkham Asylum, but I ended up paying $25 for the non-GOTY version and then within a month or two the GOTY version was released and dropped down to like $10.
[edit]: Oh, and the Witcher. Really was not a fan of that one, although I realize I'm in the minority on that.

Even though I regretted them, I still wouldn't necessarily advise against buying them yourself. Torchlight seemed fine if that's what you're into, I've just discovered I'm not a huge fan of the genre. Batman: AA was really great, I just regretted the timing and price. And the Witcher... well, I kind of hated it, but roughly 90% of the people I say that to tell me I'm insane, so there's a good chance you'll like it too. ;)

I don't find the game to be difficult, just shallow.
I definitely dislike the controls, because they're dull. Tifa's limit break combo (in Final Fantasy VII; released in 1997) uses a timed button-press game mechanic as well but is way more engaging than the Witcher's left-mouse-button timed hit (game released in 2007). All you use is one... damn... button.

I hated it because...
As SFaPiL said, combat was just a matter of repeatedly clicking at regular intervals. Much of the story felt like someone had filled in several fantasy mad-libs and then cobbled them together. Most of the touted "mature" storytelling boiled down to "hurray boobies!" The dialog was stiff as hell, and the voice acting even worse. I've heard that the voice work improves a lot if you play it in its native language and just use english subs, but I had so many other issues with it that I didn't feel like revisiting it.
I will give it some credit on a couple of fronts: the major plot twist was fun (if predictable), and the mechanics of some of the moral choice/faction decisions seemed really fresh and well done. A bit less so after playing Bloodlines for the first time and realizing they did something similar a few years earlier, but still, kudos for making it a bit more nuanced and meaningful than many RPGs do.

I think the movement in dead island feels really slow and clunky

The Walking Dead I bought it when it was 25% off then two days later it was 40% off...

Fable III. I got it for my Xbox 360 and it overheated before I got through the intro videos. My Xbox never worked again. I seen it on sale on Steam several months ago and quickly bought it. Afterwards, I figured out it requires Games for Windows Live, but I use Linux.
Comment has been collapsed.
yeah...fable III was a letdown compared to the first 2...especially compared to the first. The whole second half of the game was just black and white decisions...pointless.

I second Titan Quest... through 3 or 4 computers and none can play it... enough power but incompatible video cards or something.
It sucks.

Polynomial. It was fun and pretty for about 20 mins, then I just got sick of all the colors.

Did this exact same thing. I'm not even sure what the point is.

There are a lot worse ports, Ninja Blade being one of them. Crysis 2 being another, tho I hear they patched it up nice lately. Skyrim being the worst console port ever!(jking, was a pretty decent xbox 360 port)

Supreme Commander 2, a former friend told me to get it so we could play together, and I hate the game.
