I asked GOG and they just sent me an answer:

"Hello, we already had a shop with t-shirts a while ago, however we had to close it, as it was a hassle to maintain it. Unfortunately I am unable to predict if we will reopen it or create a brand new one, but I will make sure that our marketing team knows that there are people willing to buy our merchandise."

So it doesn't look good.

I'm not a big wargamer (at least not on PC) and as far as I've seen they were only giving out some free ingame currency for World of Tanks and World of Warplanes. Sorry, nothing interesting.

Cool! What is in the Crash Bandicoot box? Is it difficult to get shirts, I mean do you have to qualify or enter competitions or something or do they just give you one if you ask them for it?

Depends, really. They mostly throw the promotional stuff into the crowd during a floor show - yes, that includes cans of lemonade, mice, sharp pins and handheld fans. Shirts are known to have started fights. Other exhibitors give them out after you've tried the game or as prizes for quizzes or short tasks. I got the Warface shirts for playing the game, caught the XCOM shirt during a floor show and the gog shirt was a gift during a conversation with their representative. CD Prjekt Red simply had a stand where they gave out T-shirts and did nothing else.
The number of shirts has decreased somewhat, I feel. The first year I visited Gamescom I got bombarded with shirts left and right; the years after that they got more conservative.

In Crash Bandicoot box was awesone figure for Crash Tag Team Racing.

On matter how you get stuff - it really depends from exhibitor to exhibitor :> - Mouse I got for beating a dev in NFS on Genius booth (I got lucky xD), Wii shirt was given to anyone who beat a defined score on WiiFit, Scarface and MGS4 T-Shirts were tossed to the crowd (also anyone who got T-Shirt was invited to press-only preview for MGS4 :> I got a photo bro-hugging freaking hideo Kojima! ;p), FarCry2 T-Shirt I got from lead programmer after I was discussing a game with him after the floor show, Witcher 2 T-Shirt I got because I am polish - I was playing a game in a booth - talking with my friend in polish, and as Witcher is a polish game a dev heard us, came by to discuss, ask what we think of game etc. And then he gave us some merchandise (Poster, pin-ups and TShirts), and Sacred 2 T-Shirt was given to people who standed in line and tried out beta ;) They were also giving a free copy of Sacred 1 as well ;)

In my country we only got PGA - Poiznań Game Arena - which compared to GC is like comparing a small hoiuse party to a music festival ;P

The 2 only big gaming festivals (excluding esports qualification events like WCG or Dreamhack) are in Germany and Russia - so if you want a big event - you have to travel :> I traveled to Germany 4 times for now - 2 times for Games Convention in Leipzig and 2 to gamescon in Koln - all 4 totally worth it! :>
