I got Sonic Generations in store, with Steam key, for $20 :D
Not sure if EB has the other two though
Also, for some reason, Activision has been giving us cheap prices on games without the CoD title slapped on them. We can get the Walking Dead title for 40% of the US price. Even if no one wants it. :P

The topic is about how using the Steam store search shows one price, while the store page itself shows a different (higher) price.

oooooooooh! This really wasn't clear from the way OP wrote the thread. Thanks Delta.
And on topic: Seems like some publishers just dont care about Aus, which is a shame as they're reducing an entire market with prices like that.

Slightly off topic, but doesn't "Sega" roughly translate as "wanking" in Italian?
EA, on the other hand, are globally recognised are master purveyers of the world's oldest first person shooter...
Oh, and back on topic, it is indeed very odd, and slightly concerning too...

I'd consider this a benefit; it gives you a better chance of noticing you're about to be ripped off.

I remember when Origin store charged 40eur for Europeans but 20 USD for Americans for some games (Alice, Bad company 2). It was ridiculous because you could've bought those same games in local game shops for their real price and activate them on Origin.

Basically what I'm saying is I accept that we pay higher prices for various reasons (wish it was otherwise but meh, that's something out of everyone's hands), just that pricing should be consistent on the Steam Search where we get our hopes up, as well as the the Storefront which is the proper price.
Like with Steam Sales, a number of people have been complaining about them ending earlier than they're meant to. What if you're one of those people who see there's 3 hours left until the sale ends, and the Steam Search shows the discounted price which entices you enough that you'd like to buy the game, then when you go to the Storefront, the discount has been removed? You wouldn't be happy.

At least you have prices in your currency.
No we don't. We get charged in $US.

"At least you have prices in your currency. "
Nope. Guess again. Aussies and Kiwis pay in USD. The only thing is that we pay more USDs for many of our games than the rest of the world.

This is not about how Aussies & Kiwis pay a hell of a lot more than the US/UK/EU does for EA and SEGA games (that's already been established quite awhile ago already).
What I'm talking about is this - 3 games in particular. Sonic Generations, The Sims 3, as well as recently Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.
See here: Sonic Generations + Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed - Both say $29.99 USD.
And here: The Sims 3 - Says $49.99 USD.
But then when you go into the Storefront...reality hits home.
The Sims 3 AU Storefront - Says $79.99 USD.
Sonic Generations AU Storefront - Says $49.95 USD.
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed AU Storefront - Says $39.99 USD.
This is quite frustrating, especially when you're thinking that the game has had a price drop and it turns out not to be the case. C'mon EA & SEGA, stop misleading us like that. We already pay extra (and in the case of The Sims 3, more than double) compared to the rest of the world, why must you add insult (misleading prices) to injury (price gouging)?
