He, as a leecher. Sorry that I dont use the casual SG way to give games away to get my contribution counter up....
PS: If you own 370 games in steam the word giveaway doesnt give you the kick it should be supposed to give.

yes this really pisses me off too
been waiting for the friggin dragonborn dlc to go on sale for like a year now
they have goty edition, original skyrim for 7.5$ but the stupid dlc? nooo they can't put that on sale either
It really does seem like they dont care bout those that bought their games early
This whole GOTY discount yet DLC costs as much as the game now is a big pet peeve of mine

Uh... I'm sorry, publishers and developers do this for years now and you just noticed? That's one of the main reasons why I stopped purchasing AAA titles at release back in 2010. It's just overpriced shit. If you don't want being screwed like that, wait for GOTY. You get more, cheaper and often patched at least to some point.
Plus, they don't say 'Fuck you' directly in your face with their pricing policy because you're an early buyer while you'd expect treatment 180 degrees different due to that fact. Truth is, they don't give a f after your purchase. You can't trust anyone with their pricing policy after release, hell, you can't even trust 'GOTY' having all the content thanks to Firaxis and Gearbox anymore (actually, in my country first were Cenega and it's pimp 1C Company a couple years earlier but that's just regional 'attraction'). Just sit tight and wait. There's shitload of different titles you can play in the meantime.

First world problems.
Open a petition and organize protests worldwide, that'll teach them spoiled brats who don't even want to sell their game at two cents. Unbelievable.

:/ i dont think you understand business strategy. why sell dlc for a steep discount when they can sell the packaged goty for a discounted price that makes you buy the core game again at a price that costs more than the individual dlc would if it was similarly discounted. its not an oversight, this is how businesses operate :)

haha I'm not suffering any pain, but I agree with you. And it's not just Bethesda, it's pretty much every major Publisher(TM), they usually fuck the people who actually were "loyal" customers in this way. Sometimes it's even cheaper to get the GOTY version that to buy the 3 or so DLC packages you are missing!

Yeah, after Skyrim, Borderlands 2, and Dishonored all having expensive DLC included in GotY while the people who bought early are hung to dry I really don't want to buy AAA titles any more - and I am weirdly sure the trend will be blamed on "pirates" :(

Yes, but it's problem with BL2. Season Pass doesn't have all DLCs they made. Ok, no problem. But there is GOTY edition and they still are making next DLCs.

People should have seen this coming ever since Morrowind to be honest. It's a vile marketing tactic, kind of being an in-your-face method for ripping off their early costumers. Too bad that for most games, you have to wait 1-2 years until it gets the GOTY treatment, so a lot of people will buy the base games anyway.

Sale prices in both Autumn and Winter sales are the same I believe... At least I recall reading that in the leaked email from Valve to a publisher?

Bethesda is screwing with peopl much more, probably due to 1c distributor in RHCP region. Every game is region locked one way or the other. Ungiftable, different sub/app id, shit like that. I won Dishonored ROW on SG and can't even buy DLCs for myself at all, for example, because ID is different, and it's ungiftable. Similar goes to fallout new vegas but at least that's giftable and with complete edition doesn't matter. Skyrim wasn't at all on steam for long time (just brick and mortar stores). Heh.

i dunno, ive been wanting Kingdoms of Amalur to go on sale for sometime now. it hasnt been on the last 3 big sale events. same with Borderlands 2 DLC. Dishonored DLC was on sale for a good price, i think, the =last 3rd big event. i picked the DLC up back then. it will go on sale. probably not till Xmas though. so you have a month longer to wait for it to go on sale. shrugs

So I got Dishonored about 6 months ago, and also managed to pick up Knife of Dunwall and City Trials for 66% off each a few months ago. And when Brigmore Witches came out in August, I was hoping to pick it up for the same price during either the Autumn or Winter sale. Well, guess what.
Bethesda decided to put the Dishonored base game on sale at 75% off and the GOTY edition at 66% off. Now, it's only logical that the DLCs go on sale too right? Nope, they're still at their initial sale price of 33%. It's almost like Bethesda doesn't value those of us that already own Dishonored.
So Bethesda, why do you do this to me? Is anyone else here suffering the same pain as I? Is there any chance the DLCs will go any lower during either the Autumn or Winter sale? And more importantly, where is the hidden giveaway!?!?
EDIT: I give up, I can't seem to hide the below content in the source code for some reason. Oh well, there's still a small hurdle which'll hopefully cut down a few of the entries (soz gaiz).
To the bin that many paste, add this to its link with haste:
EDIT: A young quester's noble attempt to conquer the puzzle which I have presented above.
EDIT: Bethesda hath answered my prayers! ...somewhat.
