I made a Raising Hell giveaway and I mentioned in the description that u need the original Overlord game to activate it.
I have 1356 entries in my giveaway, http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/vOwVl/overlord-raising-hell
Seems it's possible to enter without owning the base game.
The winner does not own the original game, as do most of the entrants. So a reroll would probably result in another fail.
Should I just sent him the key or do I have better options here?

^This.

They should read the description and not enter. So just keep rerolling. If you cannot find a winner, support will delete the giveaway for you.

I did just now. Dunno if they can help me but at least they can add restrictions for that game.

I would say that you should keep rerolling. The main game is needed for the expansion, so you have a legit reason to pass the winner... If he does not own the main game.

keep rollin'

Or maybe it can be deleted, fixed so only owners of overlord can enter, then redone. That would lose you however one of your "available gifts".

Got a reply from support (wow that was fast).
Support is gonna delete the giveaway and hopefully they adjust the game soon.

Update the OP or close the thread, otherwise people will continue to post advice like I just did. >.>

I actually had no idea that it required the original game, I thought it was a sequel. Thanks for making this thread, I'll make sure not to enter any in the future.

Next time, make a itstoohard puzzle, where the giveaway link will only be shown to users that input "I understand that I need to own the base game to play this game. If I enter this giveaway anyway, you may call me an imbecile."

Problem solved ... partly :3

This reminded me of a puzzle a certain user made, in which the answer was the special condition for being an elligible winner.

It didn't work too well.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I gave one away a few days ago, but it hadn't been activated. I added the guy a couple of days after I sent it, but I couldn't catch him online. I actually read this post earlier today and realized he didn't have the base game. I felt bad and sent him the base game too, then when I finally got a chance to chat with him, he said it had just been a spam folder thing and he had just noticed a message I left him. He didn't even know about the base thing. I was glad to give him the games, so it all ended well. I wouldn't have even realized it, if you hadn't said anything. It is hard to tell these things if someone doesn't post about it or if you can't enter them, yourself, to realize it. I always check on DLC, just to be sure I can use it or don't already have it.
