Ah ok, thanks for info, but still I got scammed for BO2 Deluxe edition once there, for 45$, I got the game but it was removed later.. so I don't like trading for AAA titles anymore.

Kinguin is fine. You just need to make sure and properly check whether it's a russian key or not. This to ensure the ability to normally activate your key.

I find that hard to believe... (that you never signed up to them, that is. I don't doubt that you receive a torrent of crap from them).

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

For amazon I am signed up so that possibly explains it.What I cannot explain is why ebay sends me emails(most have regional ads,or are translated in my language so they seem pretty targeted to me,and some are even about the city I live in right now) and I don't have an ebay account.

Yes I do
PS: these are the email headers
from: eBay.it eBay@reply.ebay.it
mailing list: 1303_xxxx....
mailed-by: us.emarsys.net
signed-by: reply.ebay.it

I live in Italy so i get the email from a local server, but as you can see the actual email is not sent by ebay but by us.emarsys.net(which apparently is an email delivery service) and just signed by ebay.
Oh well...

Yeah probably,I don't really care as they go directly in my spam folder.
Also my point was I get spam from big companies as well, that doesn't mean they are not trustworthy or fishy, just that their advertising plan is not the best one.

Don't trust any site that's not an official retailer. Also try avoid buying CD-Keys unless they are from an official site.

As far as I know greenmangaming is an official reseller.

yep, it's an official reseller, they sell and host non-steam games too (not just steam keys)

Also it seems like a reseller for other sellers or some kind of eBay.

You're right, it's like what Amazon does also. They list other retailers also.

It's pretty much a cdkey shop buying keys from other cdkey shops, something i'd put zero trust into.

But they have buyer protection.

you can trust buyer protection only as far as you trust whoever grants it... also:

Kinguin Buyer Protection Program does not cover transactions concerning RU keys versions. Kinguin.net is NOT responsible for regional, language or any other upcoming restrictions! Please MAKE SURE that you have read the Kinguin Buyer Protection Program terms and conditions first as you complete the transaction on your own responsibility.

Well, site looks legit according to their facebook and all. But for some reason MBAM doesn't like this website. for how much is Resident Evil 6 on that site for example? In EURs.

Btw, I don't trust these CD key stores much. Who knows where they're getting the keys.
Green Man Gaming, but it's not exactly the same, and their prices are same like on Steam, and some almost same. Sometimes they have discounts.

If you ask yourself "Is this site legit" it probably isnt 100%. Kinguin is just a middleman, you basically buy the key from the keystores. Why is that problematic? Have you looked at those keystores? They sell keys that were taken from physical copies. You cannot know how those keys were aquired...taken,fraud,stolen or legally bought. So it's you taking the risk if ever somethings happens.

Additionally not every country allows this form of keyselling without aquiring the physical copy that belongs to it. Official sellers are no problem, they get the keys directly from the publisher and those keys are only meant for digital distribution.

All this for saving a few cents.

TL;DR: There will probably never happen anything, but if something happens like the game is revoked,it's your loss.

It's legit. It's like all other key sellers. Jsut don't buy if you see the game need VPN activation or it has only russian language. Some games are cheap because it's probably russian keys and some of them are region free.
