Steam has the entire Tropico 4 bundle available for 7€.

I have never played Tropico. I did, however, spend a billion hours playing SimCity 1-4, as well as various football managers. With that in mind, do you think this is a game that I would enjoy playing? My internet is crappy and I can't watch any videos right now, so I'm relying on your opinion here.

Edit: I might be able to watch a short 10-15 minute video tomorrow at work. If you have any recommendations, please let me know.

Edit: Bought!

Try searching on steamtrades for an even cheaper deal on the bundle (about 2.5-3 tf2 keys which is about 5€ I believe?)

3 keys on Outpost, wich is 6 dollars if you buy the keys right now at the market.

I'd rather not risk inputting special regional keys into Steam. They know where individual keys came from.

I'm the same. I've played all the SimCities apart from the newest one and I think Tropico 4 is great.

The missions are pretty fun and whatnot, but the sandbox mode/ a trainer made the game even better, at least for me.

I spent abour 150 hours on this game.. My wife spent about 750 hours on it.. I had a lot of fun, and probably will play it again sometime, my wife is addicted to it and I don't doubt she will get about 1,000 some day :)

Definitely worth the money if you like city building kind of games.

You just missed the Indiegala tropico bundle :( It was 8$ for all Tropico games :O
Try to win it over here :D There are currently a few Tropico giveaways :D

Yeah, but that one was with all the basic games, and the Steam bundle is Tropico 4 with the expansion and all DLCs.

I had lots of fun. And there's demo, while not perfect you can check if it's your pair of shoes.

Can't play the demo, since the sale will be over by the time my internet recovers and lets me download faster than 30 KB/s :)

:(

Well, you can buy it and add to inventory and download demo to see if you want it in library or if you'd prefer to giveaway it. Win-win.

I own it and its pretty good.
But check some reviews out first incase you dont like it because everyone has a different choice.

Tropico 4 is great. Modern Times is the only DLC worth getting, but if you get the complete bundle, that's great too.

Yes.

Just hands down yes.

the game is fun, there is a lot to do, a lot of goals to meet, a lot of factions to keep happy, an election to win, player created scenarios you can play, sandbox mode, dozens of things to do.

Personally the people are kind of stupid (free apartments right freaking next to them and they still dont move in) but overall its a great game with a lot of fun in it.

Just dont expect something exactly like sim city 4. you dont zone for areas you just build along roads. everything from shopping malls to bars to universities. you decide who gets to come in and you have to balance that all with keeping money in your coffers (something I was REALLY bad at).

So, I was watching a review, and my feet liked the music. Bought! With some luck, I might be able to play it today or tomorrow.

I've been wanting this game for a while, but every time its on sale for $10 or less, I never seem to have the funds. I suppose I should set aside $10 for the next time it goes on sale, but when it comes down to it, I'd rather spend that $10 on food than on a video game.

Still, its a heck of a value for $7.

It is a good game. DLC is probably not worth it, however.
