Don't all decent browsers now allow you to highlight a URL and open in new window/tab/etc. by right clicking? I do it all the time in Firefox.

Either use a text to link addon, or see what options your browser supports for text only links. I can double click to select the line, then right click to open in a new tab.

Or... Just highlight a none linked web-address and drag to the top of your browser to open in a new tab (or onto a tab icon to open in that tab).

Or highlight it -> right click -> open in new tab.
