Really good deals. Thanks for the heads up. Much appreciated.

There are. &tag= is what defines that as a referral link. Yours includes &tag=stetrasgui-20, meaning it's a referral link for the account stetrasgui (they usually put -20 on the end, not entirely sure why). The owner of that account will receive 5-15% of the money spent on items on amazon from links with that tagline in it. Amazon calls it an "associates" program, and all it requires is having your own website or blog (which you can get for free from google, and then not post anything on it).

Damn, I wish Vicky II were on Steam for a friend of mine. Oh well, I'll tell him to pirate the game and register it with my key since I own it on Steam already.
Worth it just for CKII!

Ello guys,
is it true that Steam can ban one's account for redeeming a key from different region (e.g. CKII Amazon key from US redeemed in Europe)? If yes - what are the chances that they find and ban this specific account?
Also, can Amazon or else subject take any legal actions for giving false address and buying from outside US? Or is it completely legal to do this?

Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer.
You'll be fine; people do it a lot. Amazon doesn't check your address and whatnot, people do this every time they have a sale.

I suggest boycotting Amazon because they don't pay their tax and have too much of a monopoly in the marketplace

Just curious what tax you're paying on Steam, who is based about 10 miles down the road from Amazon.com?
Cheers,
Tony

I understood your point and was saying that this isn't specific to Amazon, as most online retailers, Steam included do not collect sales tax...so if you have an issue with online corporations not collecting tax then I'm assuming you advocate not purchasing from all corporations not collecting tax...which includes Steam, who I'm assuming you make purchases from.

Steam do collect VAT (the UK term for sales tax) on my purchases. But whether they do or not isn't my point, you're confusing sales tax with corporate tax.
Amazon uses financial loopholes to move profits into other countries to avoid paying millions in corporate taxes. This is a Bad Thing.
This article explains it better than the link in my first post.
