I've looked over the list of current giveaways a few times but I just thought today of a possible way to organize the giveaways to provide fewer individual entries cluttering the pages. Apologizes if someone has posted an idea about this already, but I quickly browsed the forum and saw no obvious thread on this (Could have missed it though). Please comment and build upon the idea below, would love to hear some opinions on it. Do note that I've no idea how to build a website beyond some very basic HTML knowledge, so I don't know how this would be possible let alone easy to implement.

What if we could have the giveaways of the same game grouped together with the giveaway with the least amount of time remaining given visual status? I imagine that it would look similar to how it does now, but near the bottom of the box it would say how many other giveaways are in progress for this game. This box could perhaps be clicked to take you to another page listing only giveaways for that game (or perhaps some fancy page-expanding drop down where the next few giveaways are shown). These groups of giveaways would be listed on the front page based on the shortest time remaining giveaway in their group, very much like how the giveaways are sorted now.

Obviously this wouldn't be a change that is urgent, but an idea I had. As the site gets more and more people we may eventually get to the point where the first couple pages are filled with giveaways in the several-minute margin and it would be handy to be able to condense the list in some fashion.

Yeah, I like that.. If I wanna waste my points all in one game through multiple giveaways, it's just a easy way to check how many are up.

I can certainly see it be useful in that regard. I know I personally would rather pour all my points into winning one game than henpecking around all the other giveaways.

Yea, I've been thinking about organization of gifts since the time I registered. Wondering why I haven't posted it...

i wrote that somewhere before, but i would repeat, that would be real nice to filter out the games, i already have, so it doesn't take so much time to list through them...
it seems to me, i already have ~50% of all the giveaways.

grouping same games into one is also a good suggestion, but the best would be to implement both ^_^

I think a list made in an xml format like those in rss feeds would be great. This way people with scripting and programming skills can create apps to manage the list or just use an rss reader to get the new giveaway infos.

That's a very good point Mavromatis. Make something that the community can do with how they want and undoubtedly we will see a bunch of quality applications for it. Would save the admins time.

Nah, what I'm talking about here is that for every giveaway of portal there is a grand total of 'one' entry for it in the entire list of giveaways. Only the soonest to expire would be given the actual face of the page, but the rest would be easily accessible though a link in the game box (say next to comments it could say "# giveaways", and you click that to check out the giveaways beyond the soonest to expire)

It could also be handled by giving a little space in the same box telling when the next giveaway would expire (to help prevent people not noticing that multiple giveaways will expire at roughly the same time)
