if you think that's what wotr is all about then you haven't played or simply din't know how to parry or block congrats.

you played one hour. one hour is not nearly enough to play the game at it's fullest. you played maybe one or 2 matches. that's not nearly long enough to decide that a game isn't good. you didn't even reach rank one lol.

it's not the best out there.
but it doesn't suck.

I can't help it you form your opinion over a game by briefly booting it up,
playing a match, deciding you're not good at it, delete it and then saying it's a bad game.

So you can play the demo of WotR for free? Vs, free weekends from Chiv. Seems kinda the same, not really a strong point of WotR vs Chiv.

Demo is unlimited time play with the default 5 characters. Honestly the default characters are well enough designed that you have no need of making a custom character.

Also, seems like you gain gold and xp at 80% rate, but both are kind of useless because you can't make custom characters anyways :P

Yeah, but the Character customisations is WotR strongest point. The game itself is slower paced, less exciting, less gory and less varied than Chivalry.

Doesn't change the fact that it's f2p. It's decidedly not pay to win in my experience. Skilled default characters can beat custom characters any day of the week.

In duels, but not in pitched battles for example. And nope, it`s not p2w since the powerfull equipment is very cheap.

I love chivalry, it's really fun and the combat is awesome. I played war of the roses in the free weekend and didn't enjoyed that much.

I feel like warband is better both in ranged combat and in mounted warfare, but between the two, I don`t like Chiv at all, while WotR is not a bad game.

Clearly War of the Roses. Controls close to warband and really nice graphics compared with the unique gameplay. Chivalry is just a copycat :)

How is Chiv a copycat? It's gameplay is something drastically new and innovative vs WotR which is a M&B copycat (not really since the devs are the same but the gameplay still is the same).
