With all of the (comedy) anime titles pouring in, I think the OP has enough to start with. )

The older series I watched:
-Lucky Star
-Seto no Hanayome
-Nichijou
-School Rumble
-Mitsudomoe!
If you like watching something overly shounen, I recommend Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

That's like, your opinion, man.
I watched a few of the newer episodes a year or two back and thought it was really good, now I'm just going back and watching the whole thing start to finish. I'm on around episode 80 and it hasn't lost any quality whatsoever, though I did love We Are.
EDIT: Agreed on the pacing, though. 1 fight takes 5 episodes. Sheesh. Though it is good enough to keep my interest.

Around episode 80 it was still good. I started getting bad in Water 7 and Enies Lobby arcs. Totally not relevant fillers out of nowhere - you just don't do that. And what OP is now is some kind of joke. Girls' torsos are spines with boobs. Even though it's best selling manga from Shounen Jump, the anime is amazingly bad now.

Still your opinion. While I cannot disprove it I also cannot agree.
It seems alright to me. The story appears to get better, not worse... Alabasta arc isn't too interesting, but recently I accidentaly went onto the wiki and read some spoilers, they were fascinating.
The humor is good, the music is good, the story is good, it's all good.

Never read spoilers again :P I can only tell you that story after Alabasta Arc is still good.
Humour was always one of One Pieces' good sides. Music was awesome too.
But you know. Music, humour and story are not the only thing that make an anime.
I recommend you to just read the manga later (after Enies Lobby Arc, or even before it)

Actually, Avatar would be considered an anime by classification, if not by definition. The only thing preventing it from being a true "anime" is that it is not made by a Japanese studio.

Abenobashi Mahou Shoutengai - great comedy
Hajime no Ippo - boxing + good comedy
Slam Dunk - basketball + great comedy, one of my favourites
Gintama - starts slowly and boring, but it gets much better in later episodes
FLCL - weird shit happens, and good comedy
Golden Boy - amazing ecchi comedy
Toradora - great romance anime
Cromartie High School - comedy about school of deliquents, one of my favs
Samurai Champloo - nice anime with great music and animation
Cowboy Bebop - some episodes are really funny, but you should have seen that one already. It's a classic.
Daily Lives of High School Boys - title says it all
Sexy Commando Gaiden: Sugoiyo!! Masaru-san - good comedy with bizzare characters
Arakawa Under the Bridge - anime about strange people living under the bridge
Detroit Metal City - guy wants to sing pop, but ends up singing Death Metal
Yakitate!! Japan - shounen anime about baking breads, lots of puns
Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt - if the humour suits you, it'll be great. If not, it's still a nice experience.
Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu - nice comedy anime with some ecchi
Thermae Romae - it's weird, but nice
Working!! - it was okay for me, many people love it though
Oda Nobuna no Yabou - likeable characters and story is okay
Should be enough. Everything has plenty of comedy in it, so you should like most of them.

Samurai Champloo is pure genius! Individual episodes aren't too serious, while still having quite an interesting and serious overall theme/plot. And I love the crossovers everywhere. It feels like an old samurai tale that's been retold and modified (and distorted) over a couple generations.
For some more suggestions for the OP: If you watch and like Samurai Champloo, check out Cowboy Bebop by the same director. That one have (IMO) some similarities to Firefly, if you ever watched that show.
And lastly something a bit more serious: Ghost in the Shell as well as the series Stand Alone Complex and Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig (contenders for most convoluted acronyms ever: GitS S.A.C and GitS: S.A.C. 2nd Gig). Cyberpunk sci-fi about a team of paramilitary cyborg-cops.

2011 lacks of dark feel unlike the 1999 version(i.e. Kurapika vs Uvogin, Kuroro vs Silva and Zeno) and the 2011 sound effect sucks.
1999 is far more better than 2011 IMO.

I recently watched Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka?, Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka? of the Dead, Cuticle Detective Inaba, and Daily Lives of High School Boys. All are comedies, though some more than others
