I believe you can buy things like The Orange Box through the origin store, but not have them associated with your Origin digital account. I originally bought The Orange Box for pc through EA's store a year or two before Origin existed.

I did the survey in the email they sent me, but I've seen elsewhere that everybody who does it gets the same code. So anybody/everybody can use it. :)

If anyone is looking for something useable on Steam. If you have Mass Effect on Steam you can buy Pinnacle Station on Origins, when you download and install it automatically finds your mass effect folder in your steamapps and installs it there. So there, you bought something on Origins useable on Steam :P
