Giveaway Group - Ultra Wishlist Giveaway - Openings

We just started a new wishlist group called "Ultra Wishlist Giveaways" The group's main purpose is to give away games from other member's wishlists, but all games are welcome.
We are also trying to recreate the XWLG group that was closed.
Our member limit is 50

i'll admit i don't always say "thanks" on every public GA, but i usually do if the creator asks a question.

I was under the impression that if you won a giveaway and then erased your own giveaway and then left the group you could be suspended, if that's not the case then oh well. Either way they'd be added to as many blacklists as possible.

...man, this thread is a huge case of deja vu. But you could say they were violating group rules, have been kicked and be able to delete the giveaway they won.

yeah, we're just trying to cover all our bases, and hopefully scare off anyone thinking of leeching. But unfortunately we all know it doesn't always work :(

I apologize, as I've said elsewhere we're still working on the rules and the group as a whole, and this is the first group i've actively been a mod for, the group creator is new at this as well.

If I have any future questions about the rules I'll be sure to ask you since you seem to know them all by heart.

That's actually fairly easy to do, since there are only a few rules. There are only a few there to make it harder for people to be confused and then start making up new ones in threads like this.

I apologize for offending you all. My thinking for the whole thing was basically that we'll report you if you break steamgifts rules, but I worded it really poorly. I was also kind of lumping leechers, scammers, and beggers together in my mind. If you really want to keep talking about it thats fine with me cus you'll just keep bumping my post.

Another thing that kind of confuses me even though it shouldn't is the amount of people saying "I'm going to report you" for things that aren't breaking the rules.
In all seriousness though it is nice to know that there are people here that understand and remind people of the actual rules.

I think it's just to make sure that the person is somewhat social/courteous, but I know its a somewhat flawed way to judge that.

I remember being a member of the old group but I had no idea that it closed and I do remember making a giveaway upon joining but never won anything from it.

not that one, Aya made two groups, the other was called Extreme wishlist giveaways, but she closed that one cus the rules changed and it was almost identical to WLG, a lot of the members were sad to see it closed and only a couple of them (as far as i know) were allowed to join WLG.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not, but I hope it will turn out well too.

Everyone was invited to join over to AWLG. ;) But only a few made applications. We got in as many people in as possible, before we reached our member limit, we even exceeded our member limit to let more people in. And still if we have free slots every former XWLG member is welcomed to join (if he was in good standing in XWLG of course).

i'm sorry, when i was writing that i was thinking how it probably wasn't the right way to say that. Thanks again for making a great group, hopefully some of your great group magic will rub off on ours! Honestly, I think you are one of the best, admins/group creators out there.
I thought I applied to AWLG after XWLG was closed, maybe i misread something, I don't think i'd be able to keep up with it now tho, since i have to focus on this group and the other ones im in. Thank you for clearing that up!

You can only disband a group if you kick everyone and than leave yourself the group. Thats why everyone got kicked. ^^

And I announced it I think a week ago it was on the front page for days. But at least now you know what happend. :P
