In case you missed the most recent announcement by SG

While there have already been a crap ton of such giveaways we will work to deal with the currently active ones and soon add the appropriate titled Dawn of War from the THQ bundle.

If you have a deleted giveaway of dawn of war with the reason being "Selected incorrect game or information" Then don't worry about it for now, however DO NOT try to add another one for the time being.

Are you planning on adding one? After the response to my question on the Saint's Row giveaways, I thought that submitting individual games from a Humble Bundle was against the rules anyway. So... why add an option specifically for people to give away an individual bundle game

It's against the rules to submit a bundle key as only one of the games on it. For exaple give a HumbleTHQBundle key as Metro2033. Separate bundle keys, although not recommended by many sites (such as HB) is allowed.

Restriction comes when it's a unique key for many games and you give it away as one of them and not the matching bundle. I don't know if I make myself clear enough.

My comment was from a thread talking about Saint's Row the Third giveaways, which was a single key. I don't really get what your link has to do with anything, because I didn't see it mention the Humble Bundle in the thread topic, and no way in hell am reading all the comments down there.

And maybe I'm not being clear either: Bundles like Indie Gala don't have any restrictions in their bundle, so people are free to give out whatever individual keys they want. Humble Bundle (and i think one other, but i forget) specifically says "don't do that" and SteamGifts has had the policy of enforcing the Humble Bundle rules, because they're good people.

I think the problem with SR3 was that it happened to be a cut version. If it wasn't for it it would be allowed as far as I know.

And I'm doubting now what are the standing grounds of SG in the matter. I think that those giveaways have not been being punished unless the specific cases I stated. But now I'm not that sure.

It'd be better if someone with actual knowledge showed up.

Agreed on your last point.

I swear I've heard a couple different mods say that individual HIB games were not allowed because of HIB's rules. I don't remember in what threads, and it was a while ago, so it's nigh impossible to find them now.

HIB's rules doesn't govern sg or vice versa. I know which thread you mean and the point was made by lok. We respect their rules but it's not possible for us to make sure everyone is following hib's rules on sg

That's not the issue. The issue is that it's not the right game. GOTY edition does not include the expansion, which cannot be bought separately on Steam.

I hope all the giveaways are taken down. As seen Here. There hasn't been a legit one in months. So pretty much delete them all/don't let them count towards value.

Anyone who says theirs is legit is most likely full of shit and trying to sneak past the system.

cg should really improve the announcement system, it's very important. This kind of messages, as the invite to not submitting this game version, should be visible in home page to everyone, not only to who is online and subscribed to the group or who check the forum and aware that support staff can't set sticky a thread.

I 100% agree. There should be a pop up on the site so it informs everyone. (And then they can press X on it and it won't appear again.) The pop up would be nice because there people won't be able to say they didn't know they couldn't submit the game.

How ever some really don't know. And ONLY 10% of SG users are actually in the SG group. And you must not forget the announcement last for what 5 seconds when announced? Someone turning away to do something will completely miss it.

There really should be a popup that leads to a sticky about certain situation going on. CG seems so against sickies lol. I know sometimes he'll have one up(and it'd be important too) and it'd be stickied for only a day....

Wow, I thought that key included WA. Funniest thing is, now I can not even buy WA, as I cannot re-purchase and re-bind Gold Edition to my account as i already have it. No WA for me than. "Great move" THQ idiots!
