Dafuq is this in the bundle ToS:
"If I buy the bundle today, can I download my games later?
Yes, as long as it’s within 60 days of your purchase. You’ll be able to access all of your license codes, download links, and installation instructions right in your account."
So if I don't use they Steam keys within 2 months, they are gone? LOL
Not to mention the DRM free versions, which you basically rent with this kind of limitation.

Not all sites are Humble Bundle, keeping everything forever.

They just aren't keeping file backups. Download the stuff if you want it, and keep the keys in a text file on your PC. Problem solved.
Comment has been collapsed.
Boohoo. Most people can store stuff on their own damn computers. Cheaper for them to not keep the files.
Comment has been collapsed.
It's the same as if you were buying a service similar to Dropbox, and by the end of 2 months they would delete all your files because "hey, other users also need HDD space!"
Or...
You go to a restaurant, ask for food and the dude says: You have 5 minutes to eat everything, after that we reserve the right to take it away from you.

They aren't a file storage service, they aren't even a company that normally does bundles from the look of it. Why should they be required to keep the files?
Comment has been collapsed.
If they aren't a company that sells bundle, why are they selling one right now?
If you have an IT company, you can rent your place and make food, but does that make you a restaurant?
There are minimum standards... keeping the files online for a service that only gives 10% of the earnings to charity... is the least they can do.
Comment has been collapsed.
Least they can do is nothing. Not offer people cheap games. There is no rule book saying that because they are trying something out, they have to put up with winners like you forever. Even Humble Bundle has stated they can't necessarily keep the files up forever, that was stated from the start. They are lucky that it got popular enough that they have little worry of paying to keep files up for people to download when they will. This company has no such promises that their own bundle will be profitable.
Comment has been collapsed.
Fine them, how would you like to continue paying for hosting files that may not be profitable.
But of course, since it isn't your money, you think all companies should just throw cash to host the DRM free files you only care about not to play, but because they just said they won't offer them after two months. If any of you ****ers actually cared about them, you would have them long before then.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes and always online DRM is good because most of the people have internet and X machine activation limit is ok because most of the people only install the game once or twice.
Seriously, what kind of backward logic is that? They might as well said "you buy the right to download these games via torrent network in the future, since we sure as hell can't be arsed to provide that service after 2 months.".
Comment has been collapsed.
Are they a file storage service, or are they a service that sells stuff? Last I checked, they were the later, and if you bought something, it is done. If you haven't got your damn stuff after 2 **ing months**, I don't think they are the ones at fault.
Comment has been collapsed.
lol all of these are now gone because you didn't download them on your computer/console.
That's what you are suggesting is acceptable way to do business.
Comment has been collapsed.
It is Steams service to keep them for you. You are demanding a service for something this company ISN'T. Did they claim to hold your files. No, they didn't. They told you they would only keep backups of your files for two months. And then you start *****ing about it.

This would have been a fun conversation to be around for. You're absolutely right Delta, and I don't get why these people are even trying to argue the point with you. Well, I do get it, but it's absolutely nonsensical. Holding one person or group to the standards set by another in this sense is irrational. The world of (indie) Gaming bundles is a relatively new one, and without a strong backing it's very difficult to perpetually host numerous large files for the countless masses to hook into at any and all given moments. Companies like Humble and Steam are strong enough to pull it off and they're basically ensured continued financial assistance from the users. And it is also correct that even the established ones do not owe anyone unlimited downloads or time to get them. These are additional services beyond what was paid for (which is usually very minimal to begin with anyway). Unless some sort of gaming bundle regulation committee is formed, people may do business as they please and we agree to their individual conditions upon purchasing the product they supply.

That's why they give Steam keys, so there is an option to download forever. I can understand it, the games take up space and eat bandwidth and that stuff isn't free. So I just redeemed all my keys now.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well damn, no using my last few cents on old gift cards, because they refuse to accept 10 cents.

Thanks for the heads up, worth the fun trying the few I wouldn't have been particularly interested in at first glance (unfortunately I have blades of time already somewhere in my backlog), charity, games, sold.

thanks bought the pack just for blades of time! the rest I'll giveaway over time

To get the stuff you want. Put it on your computer, problem solved. Stop *****ing about it.

Your arguments that they should offer you something they never claimed to offer are no more sound.
Comment has been collapsed.
A poor service how? For not following the big book of rules for bundles? Oh wait, there are no rules. They can offer whatever the hell they like, a bundle exists to offer cheap games, and they are saving you a good chunk of cash.
Comment has been collapsed.
Of course they can offer whatever they like and I don't have to buy it and can criticise their offer for whatever reason I want.
I have unused keys (and download links) on my Indie Gala, Indie Royale, Humble Bundle, Groupees, Bundle Stars, IndieGameStand and probably a couple of other accounts that I can use whenever I want. This Bundle doesn't offer me the same service that's why I consider it inferior.
Comment has been collapsed.
Is there any reason you can't use a text file?
I can understand why they don't wish to continue hosting files, there is no profit in it for them to continue hosting them. At that point, they just drain money for hosting them, nothing extra is being gained after two weeks. Hosting files for people to continue downloading does cost money, and it is only that they have been successful that something like the Humble Bundle can continue to offer downloads of all files you have purchased. This company has no such promises that their bundle will be. They offer people more than long enough to get the files if they care about them.

It's by no means a bad offer.
It offers some games for a really good price. If I didn't have some of them already and could just activate them all on my own Steam account I would buy it myself.
It's just... the fact that I would have to store my trading/giveaway material in a text file or use it within a time limit inconveniences me enough to let me skip this bundle.
Comment has been collapsed.
I admit I already do it that way when I have keys, along with marking who got what in the list. Much easier to just have one file for easy access, than a bunch of links.
Comment has been collapsed.
I make a backup of all my DRM free games HIB, GoG, Desura so no problem to me
as long as they tell me there is a time limit so i back them up in time
Comment has been collapsed.
so that's why i am seeing so much of cubeman, i was wondering which bundle it featured in.
Comment has been collapsed.
The only one I don't have is Blades of Time. Now that it's broken into bundle land, I'm sure it'll be in another bundle down the road where there's at least one other game I don't have.
Comment has been collapsed.
So I'm seeing a lot of arguments about 60 days here, I just want a quick explaination. Is this meaning that even if the code is already applied to my steam account if I were to need to re-install in say 3 months, I would be unable to? Or is the 60 day just for DRM free?
Comment has been collapsed.
Cool, that's what I though. Essentially it's I have 2 months to apply it to steam or it's gone but so long as it's already applied to steam, it's like any other game. Correct?
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm sure you can copy your steam keys to a text file and save them for later or trade them, even after 60 days. Since you did pay for those, why would they go away?
I am pretty sure that 60 days is referencing just downloading the DRM free version, steam keys is just text in your order.

Will I always be able to access my licenses here?
Yes, you will always be able to access all of your licenses (purchases) in your account on our site... forever and ever. The download links to the software themselves however may not always be available, but you can go to the individual vendor's site and download it from there.
