Could someone explain in detail please?
What are giveaways?
What are entries?
If I go into sort of a game that costs $ 20, I will lose 20 points and win, in the end, 1. Is it?
How do I get more points?

Tks!

Read the FAQ for any information you need. But I'll summarize it for you.
Giveaways are actual games that people have bought on Steam as a gift and they then enter them here to be given away in a lottery style system. Every person who enters a giveaway has an equal chance of winning the game that was given. Once the giveaway is over, the gifter will email the activation key to the winner (the identity of the winner will be kept anonymous to everyone but the gifter until the gift is received). Once the winner receives the gift, they report that the gift was received.

As for points, the point cost of a game is the normal dollar cost of the game, up to 100 points max (so even if it's a $500 collection it will only be 100 points, at least that's what I've seen). When you enter, those points are lost to you unless you remove your entry in which case you get the points back. You get points every time a giveaway is created. Each time one is made, everybody gets 5% of the game's point cost as points. If someone makes a fake giveaway, and it is reported, then everyone in the giveaway will get their points back.

A few last things to keep in mind. First, don't be upset if it takes a while to get a win. Most people don't win their first game until after they enter about 300 giveaways. Second, always try to say thanks when you enter a giveaway, these people are giving away something that they paid for (usually) and are receiving nothing in return. Finally, always be considerate towards the mods of the site. They work their asses off keeping the site in order.

As I said before, read the FAQ for every detailed rule. And last but not least, welcome to the community.

Giveaways

  • When someone decides to make a giveaway, they'll set a timelimit for it and point out what game they're going to give with their own money. Once a giveaway ends, the website picks a random contestant in the giveaway and marks him as the "winner". The owner of the giveaway will then manually send the Steamworks gift to him/her either through the e-mail the winner provided to the website when he signed up or through Steam itself.

Entries

  • Entries point out how many people are in for winning the game in a giveaway. These are usually a way to point out the odds of winning, for instance a giveaway with 1000 entries are less likely to be won than those with 100 entries.

Points

  • Entering giveaways cost points, the price depends on how much the game in the giveaway costs in the Steam Store. If you enter a giveaway, points will be deducted from your account and you'll be elligible to win, if you don't win, you get nothing. If you do win, you'll be notified and the gifter will send you the gift through your e-mail, or he'll add you over the Steam application.
