If you look out your window to the left, it's now 1999. There's buzz of Y2K and whether or not your computer will even function in the new millennium (not to mention all the people believing the world is coming to an end.) You look at your boxed copy of System Shock and can't wait to go to town and buy the newest craze, System Shock 2. After getting to the store, you realize you're a few dollars shy of the retail price of the game. Looks like it just may be the end of the world after all. You go home empty handed and play the original System Shock again. Later that month your brother comes home with a new game. He installs it and you realize it's System Shock 2! Being your older brother, he lays claim on the game and you never get to play it. You end up moving on and temporarily forgetting about the game. Years later you acquire your own copy and smile at the memories.
