Description

Åre is one of the leading Scandinavian ski resorts. Tourism in Åre started as King Oscar II in 1882 supervised construction of the railroad to Trondheim in Norway. With this new railroad many people came to Åre to breathe the fresh air and to walk to the top of Åreskutan. They were soon known as “air-guests”. I try to visit Åre at least once per year, to avoid queuing best time is week 3-6.

Thank you for following me on this trip across half of Sweden, the distance we have been traveling is approx. 1000 km. Åre is closed to Östersund that claim to be the geographical center of Sweden.

Åre is an awesome place to ski. Been there a few times. One of the best places visited.
